I was feeling alright about my scores, and then I looked at the posts in this thread. Therefore, I feel stupid for getting a 26.

Just got mine:

Composite: 33
English: 34
Math: 33
Reading: 34
Science: 30

My English went down from a 35, which is a bit disappointing, but otherwise I’m very happy. I’m lol’ing at Science though.

I’m excited though, as I was hoping for a 33. One more ACT and hopefully my scores will be good enough for me to get into Yale (hopefully).

I wish they had a January test date so I could give it one last shot. :/

35.

10char

I don’t know where you people get your information from but barely any schools superscore the ACT. I know Amherst does, but I think that’s one of the few.

^agreed. superscore isn’t as big of a deal as people think. I know WashU in STL does too btw.

NYU says-
(Our policy has always been to consider an applicant’s best scores, using the higher of the SAT or the ACT if we had both, and using the higher score from different test dates, so we are used to doing this!)

so that means they superscore it right?
how did my math go from 31 in my junior year to 26…

My son is in 9th grade and took the Dec. ACT.

C - 27

E - 28
M - 23
R - 30
S - 26

how many times you could take ACT and can you give me tip to score high on ACT

like were to study from or what to study

I took the ACT three times. The first two times, I scored a 29. This last time, December, i scored a 32. I practiced by taking practice test from the Princeton Review in their “Crackin’ the ACT 2010.” I highly recommend it. I find the difficulty very comparable to the actual ACT.

Ugh, watch me not get the results back tonight. This is reeeeally annoying. Can you get your scores is the status is “registered?”

Composite: 30

English: 30
Math: 25
Reading: 36
Science: 28

My math score is a bit disappointing, but all in all, I’m satisfied. It’s better than the three 27’s I made before this one. :)

WUSTL, Amherst, Vassar, NYU all superscore. Those are all pretty good schools.

Anyone else get writing scores yet? I got a 6, ughhh. Science skull****ed me beforehand. >.<

Thanks for the heads up! Checked writing and a 12!!! On the first attempt! How does that go with a 28 in English?!

Everyone is getting their essay scores and I still haven’t even seen my composite :(

OH MY GOD HOW DO U GUYS GET THAT MUCH HIGH I M A HONOR STUDENT I GET ALL A’s IN EVERY CLASSES BUT I DON"T KNOW WHY I ALWAYS GET LOW ON ACT AND SAT ALL THE TIME

I TAKE PRACTICE TEST AND I GOT 18 ON ACT I DON"T KNOW WHY I GET THIS.

MY ENGLISH IS LOW BECUZ I CAME FROM INDIA BUT NEED A TIPS, SUGGESTION, A HELP, OR ANYTHING THAT CAN HELP ME GET 30 ON ACT. PLZZZ HELP ME OR I HAVE TO COMMIT A SUICIDE BECUZ I CAN"T AFFORD TO PAY FOR COLLEGE

darshil, take a few deep breaths and calm down. My son is not a great test taker, but he did use some practice books. We got 3 ACT prep books from the library and looked them over. The one he liked the best was something like - ACT Strategies for super busy students. You may find another one you like better. It has review sections, practice tests and exercises, with answers and explanations. Practice with a time limit once you have studied and reviewed. Are you a junior? Have you taken both the ACT and SAT?

No essay scores available for S yet. His composite was 31 (E 31, M 30, R 36, S 27). Ran out of time on the darn science!

darshil - you should get “The Real ACT Prep Guide” It has a some strategies along with real practice tests. It helped me get from a 32 to a 34.
