December 2009 Math 1 Discussion

How did you guys do? What did you think of the test?

I was just racing against the clock but I thought it went all right

I ran out of time on the last few problems

i skipped 4 in all. (yes i know thats alot) but timing was a major problem…i think i got too overconfident but i hope the rest that i answered are right =/

What did you guys get for the altitude question? Or the one that asked about the number of triangles formed?

^^I got 5 triangles? didn’t look like 10 could fit

I also got 5 triangles. Did you get -17 for one of the answers? It involved functions and was towards the end of the test.

What is the curve for Math I anyone knows?

not sure but I remember something with -17. What did u get for the last question it was like f(2)=0 and f(x+1)= 2f(x)+1. Then it was like find f(4)

^oh that one took awhile for me to solve but it was actually easy. i dont remember my answer but it was negative something i recall

would omitting 4 still get me a score in the 700s?

@ desi, yeah u’d still be up there. You need around 10 omitted to fall into the 600s

do you guys remember what you got for the geometric sequence problem (4th term between 2 and 162 I think…)

i got 6 I think and but the numbers were like 486 though

not many people on CC take math 1 lol

lol yeah i agree most CCers take math2. I took both just to see where i am, i wish i took this earlier. I’m such a procrastinator =[

nvm wrong thread

did anyone get 8 square root of 5 for one of the questions?

I feel like I did poorly because I didn’t keep track of time :[[[ I was about to fill in the last few (5 or 6?) blindly but I figured that would work against me… did I make the right choice?

^ blindly guessing will either kill your score or bump up your score a lil bit depending on how you guessed. I omitted like 9. Those darn geometry problems!
