x(symbol)y= abs(x) … same thing as (-x)(symbol)y

was the cylinder one 37.5? and isnt it sd? -q?

for the one with no solutions, I got a=1
for the one about locus I got perpendicular lines
the one with r and q I think I got r=q…this is wrong, it was r=-q
two non real roots
infinitely many lines that are perpendicular
III only for the one that asked all values were greater than 0

;(( i got the non roots one wrong…i put none…aghh i feel so stupid! and yeah i got std. deviation for one the questions

Yeah, cylinder one was 37.5. Frig for the circle with (r, q), was there just a q or was there a -q? I didn’t even read through the answers and just picked q…

For all the values greater than zero, I think the choices were:

x^2 - 2x > 0
x^2 - 2x + 1 > 0
x^2 - 2x +2 > 0

Shouldn’t it be II AND III?

Darn! got the infinitely many ones wrong…

so the biggest disputes so far are:

-Sd vs mode
- non real roots = 2 or non real roots = nonpositive

i picked “-q” because the circle was in the second quadrant

There was a -q choice? Great… how did I not see it…

@xs0itg0esx
the mode is the number that repeats the most. what your talking about is range(highest-loweST) standard deviation doesnt change.

I got the “infinitely many” question wrong too; don’t worry. Other than that, I think I omitted around 4 (question #50, the cylinder one because I couldn’t arrive at a definite answer, the r and q circle problem, and another question). I got a 760 the last time I took the test, so this time I was hoping to retake to get 800, but I doubt I will. :(

Isaid -q for the same reason & i said perpendicular…i b/c it said two intersecting lines?

it was definitely standard deviation for sets A and B. You were adding 5 to each value, so the mode would change by 5 while the standard deviation, or spread, of the data would remain the same. Question about which expression is equal to 1 over the interval 0 to pi/2…was this interval closed or open?

I omitted one and I think I missed 4-5… can I still get an 800? :(

haha wow… thanks for clearing that up hakyo. i feel like an idiot now lol

That interval was open. For that one, I got that only III was correct.

i got -q alsso

What was the interval problem? I don’t remember it…

wait why was the answer not II and III?

I think I got about 5-8 wrong(hopefully no more, but possibly less) & didn’t finish so last 6=blank. what score can I hope for?
