December 2010 ACT English Discussion

Discuss all English questions here after the test tomorrow. Good luck! :)

Don’t you love creating threads so early :D

^ Nope, it’s just that the discussion gets too unorganized and inconsistent when someone doesn’t make the threads before the test. And twelve hours isn’t “so early”. :p

I guess I know what I’ll be doing 10 seconds after I walk out of that test center x)

I’m praying hardcore for an easy English, Math, and Reading test.

Oh yeah, I forgot to add Science in there also.

;)

i felt really confident bout english this time around,

i cant say that for anything else though…

I thought English was easier this go around

I thought English was easier than normal, but not super easy.

Also, did anyone get 2 sets of AFAF?

Is “else’s” propper? I didn’t change it but I wasn’t sure

^Idr but i have a feeling i messed up on a couple of questions. I was going lightning fast, with like 5 minutes remaining.

WongTongTong, I thought I was the only one haha

^Na brah, it’s mutual ;)

And yes, else’s was the correct answer. I remember asking silverturtle about that a couple of months ago :o , guess it helped.

QUESTION: This was one of the questions I wasn’t sure on, what did you guys put for the choice that correctly kept the positive tone of the paragraph (in the garbage paragraph):

Some of the choices were asking directions, going to the curious place, something like that.

I put the one about the lovely entry shack, or whatever the description was.

^??? I’m pretty sure that was one of the ones I ruled out right away…

i put something with attractive…
It had “attractive” in there. The “attractive appreciation for the garbage dumps” or something like that.

I put the one about the gate (I think it had a dash). It sounded, to me at least, to keep the tone of approval

^yes that’s the one im talking about. IT was “attractive gate–”

^Darn, got that one wrong.

Ugh, I put the one where it said he asked for the resources before going there…something like that
