December 2010 ACT General Discussion

i’m SO NERVOUS I don’t even know what to do with myself right now.

Second time taking it, first time for real (took it in seventh grade).

Prediction: 34/35
Goal: 36 :stuck_out_tongue:
No. of Practice Tests Taken: Probably five+ english/reading tests, two science tests, three math tests. ACT prep is a required junior class at my school (Public school, I believe the teachers are trained by Princeton Review though as we use their “Manual to the ACT”) and it’s separated into English/Reading and Math/Science for a quarter each.
Retake: Yes, from my 21 in seventh grade. (lol)
Grade: Junior
Questions:
Comment: I have the worst luck with over thinking things… I really hope I don’t do that tomorrow.

do you guys feel you do better on your practice tests or real tests?

I head you need 36’s on all sections to get a 36 composite.

What are you all doing tonight? I’m watching Elf and trying SO HARD not to think about the test but I cannot help myself… as you can tell because I’m on this board hahaha

Webass, that’s incorrect. You can get a 35.5 and get a rounded up 36, just like with any composite score.

@aimeenard: I’m just going to relax after 7 PM and sleep early…10PM latest!
GOOD LUCK TO EVERYONE TOMORROW! HOPEFULLY WE DON’T SCREW UP OUR FUTURES!

Whew, good thing I canceled this ACT. This is the 4th time i’ve gotten sick two days before an ACT test, but luckily I don’t need to take it again.

I got sick a day or two ago also =_=
but I’m determined to take the test tomorrow… shakes fist

do y’all think there’s a significant difference between a 31 and a 32? :/

That’s what happened to me before the September test. It made the difference between a 34 and 35… :(

And no, I don’t think there’s a significant difference between a 31 and a 32.

Darn
'cause at the rate I’m going… I’ll probably end up getting a 32 (from a 31)
but maybe the ACT fairy will grant us all an easier test tomorrow (.__.)/~*

Good luck everyone :)

Ok, I’m going to bed. Good luck to all! :)

do any of you know if taking the ACT w/out writing is ok if I’m sending in my SAT scores as well? might do standby testing tomorrow

jumpshooter - Depends on the school. Check the admissions requirements for the school(s) you are applying to.

good luck everyone!!! ima go to bed now too.

please ACT gods, grant me a 34-35!!! :P

hey guys, i remember my first ACT being just one year ago!

dont give up and have a fresh mind!!
personally, i went from a 27 to a 32 and found success

with the hard work and dedication, i am sure u guys will do great!

I just finished the 11 Dec ACT exam lol. -x- forbid to talk about

Holy crap, you guys. I’m super nervous! I’ve been working through a little practice test tonight (and I haven’t looked at ANY ACT material in a long time). I didn’t do so hot on the first two sections (English and Math), but what my main problem is, is timing.

This will be my second retake. Took it for the first time in April '10. SO SCARED! D:

It’s almost time :)

Good luck, everyone.
Let’s all hope we get an easy test, and that no silly mistakes are made.
I’d love to have a 35 :p

English: Didnt kick my a$$ that much, but score probably dropped.

Math: Kicked my a$$

Reading: kicked my a$$, nothing new here

Science: was kicking ass, but proctor called time with 5 minutes remaining =_=

Mood: Disappointed / p1ssed off

English: Eh…need to discuss questions
Math: Missed a question= fail
Reading: agree with Chopper
Science: Went well, expecting -0

Mood: I really should get working on those college apps, heh.
