So the gist of the answer i put was:

You’re confusing the question. It asked where “the majority of the Midnight (or whatever) group” got their dances, not just the dance that the narrator invented. The answer was definitely “passed down through generations”.</p>
<p>The passage stated (second paragraph?) that the main char couldn’t remember learning a new song or dance because they were all traditional and passed down.</p>

<p>@yale: No, it said she had performed for the president many years ago. She must have gotten the parka before performing.</p>
<p>Some other answers I remember: trimmed= embellished, compounded= increased, hedge= defense.</p>
<p>Parka first is right. The trimmed is adorned or embellished or something like that.</p>
