With the first batch of December ACT scores just over a week away, let's get this thread started. Post any hopes, anxieties, whatever here. Let's hope the curve is generous, guys! :)

Might be a bit too early for this :p

Fortunately, I’m swamped with college essays, so I won’t be pressing the F5 key on the ACT website for the next week, haha.

In the mean time…

You’ve wasted 5 seconds of your life by reading this sentence, now you are continuing to read even though you know you are wasting your time. Now you realized the sentence is over but you’re still reading. Kinda amusing how you read something even though you know you are wasting your time by reading it. :O

^Very funny, wongtongtong… I kept reading ahahaa.
But yeah, I agree. Might be a little too early…

Nah, not really. Or maybe I just badly want to know my scores. ;)

Perhaps it’d be the proper time to post an SAT scores thread. Oh well, it would be bound to come up soon anyways.

Hopefully there will be a generous curve on the reading section. I’m fairly confident on the other three. Hoping for a 33 composite!

ACT, what are you expecting?

Also, definitely making an AIM chat room like last time the night before?

if i don’t get a 34 at least, this would have been such a waste of time (i already have a 2240) so obviously i am super anxious about my scores. i definitely got two wrong on math and one wrong on reading. the other two, i think, should be perfect but… i guess i won’t know until the 26th.

how many of you are seniors?

any1 kno what they think the curve will be based off october 2009

a good score on the last 2 SAT subject tests I took and the ACT would by far be the best christmas present for me this year. Please santa, let’s hope you have connections with collegeboard/act.

Sorry, I’m not going to predict anything; I don’t want to jinx it.
Yes, it will.

i kno it will b^^^^^ i was just wondering if anyone ever figured out what they were

Well, what did you get in previous testings?

Aim chat room? Ill be there!

The tests come in batches?

34 in September.

Yesssssssss.
Please let the curves be generous!
That was my last time taking the ACT (second time overall) and getting a decent score or at least improving by at least 4+ points would be the best Christmas gift ever <3
I feel confident that I’ve definitely performed better on this test than Sept. 2010. I had an awful fever that day and had no choice but to take it :-

You guys should not even worry about what you get on the ACT and should instead spend that time stacking your college apps with tons of extra-curricular activities and random community service oppurtunities like helping people in random countries and not doing not summer courses. Then act like you care about these activities and write passionately about how much effort you put into them (even though it’s infeasible if you have that many) because that’s what colleges want to hear. ACT score <=34 is not to important at top 20 schools anyway.

I’m a senior, and I’m extremely anxious, I’ve gotten all the math questions right that were posted and I have two in the reading that I’m not sure about, science and english seemed pretty easy for me. I’m thinking we should have an IRC chat room, that would be much cooler.

By the way doing tons of random crap doesn’t help at all. You need a hook and a good vantage point on one or two things. It also helps if you know that words like infeasible don’t even exist. :l

[Infeasible | Define Infeasible at Dictionary.com](<a href=“Infeasible]Infeasible Definition & Meaning | Dictionary.com”>Infeasible Definition & Meaning | Dictionary.com)

No, and random crap does help a lot. Dedicating yourself to specific extra curriculars is exactly what you don’t want to do. Quantity over quality: TRUE Passion is not beneficial in college admittance.

Cjgone, I hope that was a sarcastic message.
