December 2010 ACT Scores

Don’t feel bad, a 25 is above average. I am surprised to actually even get a 28. I thought it would be much lower, considering how much I guessed on the Science section, although I did the worst on English -__________-.

Yes! No more ACT for me!
I never thought I would actually get that score!

JunksSSJ23: yeah, you should send the 28 (~1880 SAT) b/c 1770 SAT ~ 26 ACT

^Wow, lucky! Congrats :D.

First 36 of thread. Congrats.

so compared to you guys, this isn’t amazing… but I got a 30!!

take that stupid practice tests they make us take at our school!

anyways… the breakdown

English - 30
Math - 27 (I forgot some formulas. whatever)
Reading - 31
Science - 30 (that’s like a 7 point increase from the practice test!)
Essay - 8
Composite - 30 =)

that’s wats up…soccernerd… now you get to make your own tut on how to score a 36  with only 4 posts too…

I did a bit better than my previous score… 31—> 33

I am excited about one thing, though; I got a 36 in English which means that it was “whiff”! :]

^YES!

Wait what was the other option again? lol

I think I put “whiff”…but what were the other options? :stuck_out_tongue:
Does that mean it was glared or shone?

No, that was different one. But the answer to that was ‘glared’

This was the aroma vs whiff debate. Thank god I put whiff down.

Alright, that’s great news; got both whiff and shone!. I have a chance for a 36 in English too, then!

Wait sorry, I meant glared. Wrote the wrong word down, :p

Wow. That sure ruined my moment. Thanks a bunch, Tong.

Can anyone with a 36 in Reading please confirm whether one of their answers in the Harlem Renaissance section was that the movement had a “broad base of support” (or something along those lines). And can anyone with a 36 in Science please confirm whether concentration increases or decreases (or something along those lines) when exposure goes from 12 to 3 in the color section? Thanks. :)

^ I guessed on that one ACT. What did you put? I forgot if I put increasing or decreasing. only question that I might miss

^ I put decreasing, but I don’t know if that’s right.

Lulz, I got a 9 on the essay and BS’d the entire thing.
Comments on Your Essay: Your essay maintained focus on the specific issue in the prompt. The organization of your essay was adequate, but the rigid structure seemed to limit discussion.

Of course it’s going to limit discussion. How much can one write about approving or disapproving a law banning minors from buying caffeinated drinks? ****ing morons…

How in the world did you get your essay scored when I don’t even have my MC scored!

I think I either put decreasing or remaining constant. I think I skimmed over the article and didn’t see anything related to the question so I guessed.
