Things are funny until you find out that they’re true.

I agree with quantity/quality but you have to have some quality otherwise you’ll have to be a really good liar.

Haha, I’m afraid if that was a real message, your knowledge of college admissions is quite limited.

I will tell you if I ever get accepted into any college ranked above 30 with a 34 on the ACT (or for now above 35); it’s looking fairly bleak already.

Differed from U of Chicago:
Fall 2009 acceptance rate: 27%.

Differed from the U of Notre Dame:
Fall 2009 acceptance rate: 29%.

I’ve got a few people who have gone to college before me in my family not including mother and father (siblings) so I do know about college admissions.

I took it for the first time this December… maybe it was just me, but it seemed a LOT easier than the practice tests our school forced us to take.

also, I don’t think it’s necessarily a good thing to do “a bunch of random things” and act passionate about them. you shouldn’t have to lie your way into college. If you’re actually passionate about something, especially if it relates to your major, you should show that.

i. need. my. scores. right. now.

No wonder they didn’t accept you, probably too many misspellings in your essay. It’s deferred…:

I had a couple of spelling errors, not in my essay though. Doubt that was the reason.

Deferred: Withheld for or until a stated time.
Differed: To be dissimilar or unlike in nature, quality, amount, or form.

Technically he spelled it right.

^How…his application was withheld by the colleges until Regular Decision…

I hope I get above a 30!

^I’m hoping for a 32 first time…that’d be nice. I’ll probably get a 30.

When do the scores come out? The 29th right?

^27th, I believe.

Guys, enjoy Christmas and stop worrying about scores. Today is Christmas eve! Just stop worrying until Sunday. Lol.

Oh yesss. Thought I’d have to wait longer :)

totally agree with whs, it’s the holidays!! Hoping for a 29 + :D

No joke - I just saw mine sitting in the mail pile today. December 11th ACT, no writing. Scores aren’t even up online yet. What’s going on?

Anyway, here are the results:

Composite: 33 (32.5)

English: 34
Math: 35
Reading: 31
Science: 30

Reading and science always drag me down. I don’t think my pacing technique is quite right for either one. No solution but to practice more, I suppose.

^That’s odd. I wonder if anyone else got their scores, too.
Congrats on the 33!
