tell us :)

tell us :)

@g0ld3n: I’d appreciate that. I think I’ll call them too later too.

this is getting really annoying…im losing my patience now…

Did anyone here call the ACT people yet? I am anxious to hear what they said about the delay…

Yea I did, they started stuttering and were saying that they pick random tests to be scored and my test is not one of the random ones.

That’s crap.

Well, I called and guys, no scores until next Wednesday. The guy said that if scores were going to be posted today, they’d already be up. He also said that since Friday is a holiday, the scores “most likely” won’t be posted then either.
my break is officially ruined. I can’t concentrate until I get those scores.

I’m still on “registered.” :(

This is ridiculous… I just hope I don’t have to wait until February 4 for my scores…

This may sound bad, but I wish I had never received my scores at all :/

hollaatmeson, i’m jealous that you received your scores!
anywho, sorry to hear about that. if you’re not a senior, you should seriously take it again and spend months on practice tests!!!
good luck!

We really don’t appreciate that, Holla.

No news ain’t good news. It’s terrible news, especially since many of us are seniors and have to essentially place a blind bet on our futures.

^Sorry. That does suck. I’m going to try and get my favorable score before the December test next year. I surely don’t want to be in that predicament.

My scores(8th grade):
Composite: 30
Math: 34
Science: 31
English: 28
Reading: 28

I’m happy, but I’m surprised English was as low as it was. Must’ve been a harsh curve.

…

Of course the 8th grader gets his score before the seniors.

I remember MathCounts! I loved that competition, although I never did make it past states… >.>

Weird…I already got my results mailed too. Maybe NUMATS speeds up the process.

^When were yours mailed? You taking writing or no?

still no scores for me either. i called ACT twice and explained to them that all 5 ACT exams my older brother and i have taken, we have always gotten scores on the first day. they said we were very lucky and that is not normal.
meanwhile, everyone i have spoken to that took the test has their scores. several people from my testing center too. but ACT says they grade randomly, not based on test center.
so frustrating!!!

i need my score to decide if im going to stop testing (hopefully i get a 34+ and can do that), try for february ACT to be done then, or totally switch gears and go for january SAT.
i did get a 217 on my PSAT with no studying, so i may be able to do well on the SAT.

best case scenario - get my 34 and be done

I was on vacation in Spain earlier and came home yesterday night. I got the letter today in our huge box of saved mail but didn’t look at the postmark date. NUMATS only allows you to take ACT without writing, so that’s what I took.

I contacted ACT this morning and they told me that, like all of us, they are still on Christmas break until Jan. 3rd. Most major colleges are also still on break until Jan 3rd. ACT said that any tests that have not yet been scored will be scored beginning on Jan 3rd. I attempted to contact some of the colleges to which I am applying, but most of them are on break until 12/3. One of the few colleges that is not still on break is Princeton, and they informed me that, for most colleges (that are members of Common App), all you have to do is submit the Common App by the deadline. Teacher recommendations and ACT/SAT scores can be sent later (due to the fact that even they won’t be back to work until 12/3). Hope this helps!
