for the
uncertain…bewildered

skeptical…satisfied

i put a (uncertain…bewildered)

because it said that seva “surprised” her editor
and that he wasn’t enthusiastic about it at first.

i put
grandiose structures and rural something…

->The question about how the architect went freely between old architecture and modern?
My answer was: synthesizing techniques
Anyone?

->Journalism-the smaller companies even had symptoms of …
My answer was: self-importance
Anyone?

I know this is off topic, but for the Writing section:
It was something like- People think animals are mind-readers, but in fact, things give off sound waves (I’m totally making this up btw lol) that humans are INCAPABLE to hear.

–I said “incapable” was wrong because doesn’t “of” usually follow incapable? It should be UNABLE to hear…

Hey guys… ha I had to open an account for this which was pretty silly. but i just wanted to tell you all that the answer for the star one is most likely contour, because it said something like using the distances, which are consistent, to calculate something. Here is a definition of contour: • a line joining points on a diagram at which some property has the same value : the map shows contours of every 10-foot difference in elevation.

And I thought that the manifest one was identify… vague. manifest did not make sense at all

and i dont think that i put pigment for anything. i usually get nothing wrong in the sentence completion section.

bewildered means perplexed and confused, she might be surprised but that’s not exactly what bewildered means. Skeptical and satisfied fits much better

Yes. Incapable is followed by the preposition OF and I agree with the rest of your answers as well. But I can’t say that it is fo sho since I dont have the answer keys. ha (:

@go hackers

it was unfairly criticized for their preeminence
i THINK - its just that nothing else seemed to fit

Self-importance or economical arrogance? Since the entire paragraph talking about money, I picked the second one.

In one of the sentence completions I got in down to rancor and fretful. Does anyone remember the answer?

@avid student

rancorous

self-importance

@mike. i put self importance

Or was it economic self-importance?

for the indian adviser one I put “cold” meant nonresponsive because it described the buildings of the city and they weren’t natural, living things like plants in india

Self-importance.

What were the choices?

What is this self importance question? And for the last question on Achitecture was it losing it’s identity or soemthing?

Ok so can we talk about the identify…vague SC?
You guys are saying it was refuted…disputable but I eliminated that because my understanding of the blurb was this: some investigation group gathered information that was so (ambiguous or something) that it could work in favor of two sides.

In this case shouldn’t it be identified and not refuted?
Could anyone explain their reasoning?

^My reasoning: The investigators ______ the charges about the toxic waste dump though the information used to make this determination was _____ enough that both sides could use it to support their side.

The investigators either proceed with the charges or drop them. The evidence needs to be unclear so that both sides can use it. Identify…vague doesn’t work because the investigators don’t identify the charges; they know damn well what the charges are. So, what’s left (since the other 2 choices are wrong) is refute…disputable. The investigators refuted the charge (i.e. they dropped them) but the evidence they used could be applied by both sides to their cases (hence disputable).

“Self-importance.”

Weren’t they pretty arrogant economically? I mean, they overcharged for news and fooled with the costumer’s money. It said they were guilty of the “same offense”.

Hm keyword for me there was “though”
Oh fudge ):

How do you remember the exact wording?!
