December 2010 SAT - General - Curves, Versions, DH

If the curve is predetermined, will the curve for international test-takers differ from the curve for US test-takers?

October 2010 International SAT is the same as March 2008 SAT.

March 2008 SAT has a harsh curve. :(

I took the march 2008 sat (march 2010 sunday test) The critical reading curve was actually one of the better curves. But math was not so great. 770 740 720 710 690

Really !!! Wow, if it’s true :)). Anw, thank you mianahrs for your information. :D

Thanks mianahrs.
Anyone else?

I was thinking about that too.

well,I just checked my collegeboard, there is no information about the time of release. That’s strange, typically,it will mention when I can get my scores, but noting there this time.

BTW,is the release time of SAT2 same as SAT1?
anyone know what happen?THX

about 12/20

Please refrain to start multiple threads about the expected scores, the projected curves, the different versions, and other issues such as the success of word lists.

Please discuss such issues in this thread.

i had the CR: journalists, architecture, Indian women writer, heroes essay one
also, we need to create a new thread for this CR version

You’re as capable of starting a thread as anyone, pinkumbrella10.

Someone who is in college, in his sophomore or junior year, who will recognize some of the questions you’re all discussing.

Oh lord, not again.

you believe that they recycled part of this test?

one of the sentence completions i’ve definitely done before (i don’t remember if it was on a practice test or online but I know I remembered doing it and that’s the only reason I got it right)

what are you guys thinking for the CR curve?

yeah there was def a math recycle
the psat was recycled from a nov 2005 test

CR has to be good! the archtecture and journalists were BOTH hard, i got 1 wrong so far :frowning: probly more to come

I wrote a wonderful (at least by my standards) essay that filled up both two pages completely, with the last two lines containing my generic, one-sentence conclusion. I had a good intro, but will this inadequate conclusion severely hurt my shot at a 12 assuming the rest of my essay is stellar?

I found the vocab to be challenging on this test. I had the passages about a Translator for a Japanese guy, Mathematics, and Farming. I think vocab is the only thing that got me…did any one else find the vocab on this (same version as me) test difficult?

pinkumbrella: i agree. those were completely evil

Did anyone else think that Critical reading was much harder than of october?
