December 2010 SAT - General - Curves, Versions, DH

i didn’t take october but out of the 20 so SAT tests i’ve practice with this one the jounralist and archectural was killer… sooo hard

ouch, i mean if it’s STELLAR then you’ll be fine. You can write one para and still 12

depends on the reader, it is opinion after all.

i am really surprised with how different the tests were this time, it seems like there were several different versions even within the country.

Direct Hits DESTROYED the CR with the Japanese translator and farming. Hits in at least the 20’s.

any estimates on the curve?

So everybody was talking about a modern hero topic, but I had a topic about communication and less learning or something. I thought the SAT had a single topic in the same month?

DH nailed the Indian woman/architecture/ignorance version as well (though more hits were on wrong answers)

Yeah, confused about this too. Talked with a friend afterward, and seemed like we didnt have ANY sections that were the same.

Pretty much this test determines what college I will get into. I will be nervous until the scores come out in three weeks, so I just want some reassurance. Based upon the difficulty of this month’s SAT (one with cow question)… how would I score with these estimated raw scores?
Last month I scored a 1920, so I am hoping to get over the 2000 benchmark.

Critical Reading: -6
Writing: 11 Essay -7 or 8 Multiple choice
Math: Omit 4, -12

West Coast/East Coast prompts are different. I’m in CA and I had communication/information/learning less.

oh shizzle thanks 314 save my ass. i was so scared for a sec there.

You guys really think the CR curve is going to be good?

I definitely agree that the vocab is hard, but the passages were somewhat easy…im guessing medium (but I hope it is good!!)

so do you guys think there will be different curves for each version of the test? if so, what would you expect the curve to be for the Cr (with the cows)

No problem. If you’re curious, most SAT’s (like November 2010) have 4 total prompts: [SAT - Essay Prompts](SAT Practice and Preparation – SAT Suite | College Board)

dhast i completely agree. the vocab was probably the most difficult part of the test for me, the passages, math, and grammar were jokes.

Curve question:
1 Wrong on Math MC = What score?
1 Wrong on Math Grid-In = What score?
1 Wrong on math MC, 1 wrong on grid-in = What score?

Thanks!

Do you think -2 will be 800 for CR this time?

^Hasn’t it almost always been that way?

In this past year, probably <1/2 of the tests have had -2 = 800

some this year even had like -1=790 (might have been january)

I think May was like -2 = 790
