December 2010 - SAT Math 2 Thread

^yeah the mean was 2.48, for#11 all I remember is getting 11 as my answer by solving eventually getting 66/6 which equals 11

@satmath09: ok thanks  good luck with the decision you make! (i’m not saying it sarcastically)

did anybody else ever hear of or experience a 42 being an 800?

i just want to be completely sure that my chances of 800 are completely gone before i cancel…
thanks!

^42 has been 800, not sure about 41.

really? I do have hope? lols.

wait… are you talking about from 1982?..

Was there a 2.67? Or am i just imagining that. I went with which ever answer was closest to 2.8. I hope that was it.

@banned I remember getting 66/6 for one of the answers before simplifying. I forget the question tho.

@sporty with score choice why would you ever cancel?

The difference in the weight colleges give between a 790 and an 800 is practically nil…

the greatest answer was 2.48, others were like 1 etc. im sure it was 2.48

There was a roman numerals question about 10 consecutive even integers. something along the lines of…

“Given 10 consecutive even integers
I. the mean in even
II. the median is equal to the mean
III. The mode in equal to the mean”

It wasnt exactly that or i could answer it; does anyon rememeber what the right answer for that one was tho? I think i said I only but i think thats wrong. I wanna say choice II was in the real one (which would be correct.)

^ The Answer was only II I think.

Cuz i used number 1-10 as an example, and the median and the median was equal to the man but I and III were wrong.

all i remember doing for the 2.48 question was taking the score and multuplying it by the number of people that had each score and then dividing that sum by like 25…I think it was A or B…

^ Yeah I had B. for that question.

which is the problem where you guys got 66/6 = 11?

^i agree with Banned for the mean and median question

@satmath09 it was one of the earlier questions, it was #11 actually, just a weired answer because the answer 11 was for question #11. i just got worried since it was wierd.

what year’s test was a 42 raw score equal to an 800?

@banned. what WAS #11? do you remember what the question was talking about?

and do any of you guys know the curve for december last year?

sorry to sound so annoying, but i’m still really curious!

what year’s test was a 42 raw score equal to an 800?

thanks ;)

we’ll get to know soon enough. wait until tuesday :)

I got an 800! :-)

i got a 710
that’s ok right? its not going to be like, “hmm, he should have scored a bit higher” at the admissions center right??

700 for me. :frowning: I have an 800 on SAT math!!! :frowning: how the heck did this happen??

i guess skipping 7 questions was a bad idea…
