limdelbarton: I chose the " than did cattle" because they compared the cattle - shipping center with the oil and wheat in term of which has more income source

please answer me! 2 omit 7 wrong and 10 essay. score?

arround 660

I chose the same thing, because I thought “than did that of cattle” was the wrong comparison… it was super tricky though and now I’m second guessing myself :(…

Does anyone remember the exact sentence? From what I remember, it was something like “This town originally relied on cattle economically, but later switched to wheat and oil because they proved to be far more profitable as an income source (than did cattle).”

Or something like that LOL I probably totally butchered it but I think that was the gist of it? Because I remember wheat and oil being the subject of the second clause as opposed to the profitability of wheat and oil…

Ugh why am I on CC reading these things
Just making me doubt myself…

By the way, was the cattle question in the air conditioning section or the biking section? o_o

does everyone have a consolidated list?

There need to be 2. One for the should of/griots version and one for the cattle/poet who translates what she writes version.

So was this test easier or harder then usual and what will the curve be?

before the identifying the error section, what was the answer for the last problem on section rewriting the sentences was talking about someones harsh voice and still being able to become something?

The answer to the cattle question is definitely “than did cattle” because i remember re reading the question several times just to be sure of the items being compared - which was oil and something else to cattle.

I agree with user2134

Oh my goodness thanks user2134 and youwrotethis
I was freaking out when I read the other people’s posts… PHEW :O

But do you guys remember which passage went along with that section? Biking? A/C? Thanks :)

I had Biking and CS Lewis. My question is that one about ability… it was supposed to be “ability to” and not “ability for” right?

I think it was “That blahblah was born with a harsh voice didn’t stop him from blah blah blah”

youwrotethis, I don’t quite remember that question but I’m pretty sure “ability to” is idiomatically correct :)

Also, I have another question, did you have the find the error question about the Dartmouth convention and it being regarded to be the first something something about artificial intelligence?

SAT Gods please give me an 800 on Writing to cover for my stupid blunder on Math… T_T

Could anyone clarify which writing section was the bicycle? (I had bicycle and air conditioning, and I’m hoping the bicycle one was the one I had first, for I thought it was much easier)

I had “sunflowers” as a no error in the second one. In the first, I had “technique for assessing” as a no error. Additionally, in the second one, I had “would seem” as an error. Can anyone help clear this up for me? much obliged!

I’m not sure what you’re talking about but I had sunflowers as no error as well. I had two writing sections back to back… it was a pretty bad mind game haha I was like “One of these doesn’t count omgomgomg”

Same here! Hahaha that’s why I’m trying to figure out if the Dartmouth convention about artificial intelligence question was in the Biking section… because I omitted that one… if it was in the air conditioning section I’ll be happy :D

for one of the writing sections, i put No Error, but i think that the word “premier” my have been misspelled/misused. It was written “premier” but I think it was suppposed to have been written “premiere” Anyone else remember this question?

@WillGradIn2012: ah i remember that one. drove me nuts x.x

turns out i got it wrong. “premier” is a word, and it can mean both “occurring for the first time” and “first in importance / priority.” so it was NE (but i thought it was wrong) T.T

how many other no errors did you have for this writing section? i remember i had one no error on something about romans and etruscans. i didn’t have any others.
