what constitutes modern? i thought modern meant like the 21st century. not like 50 years ago mlk

^^yayy
i just hope the essay-graders don’t discount my very old examples as irrelevant, though. :(

^it didn’t ask for modern examples specifically, but rather, if it is possible to have heroes in the modern world. 2/3 of my examples were twentieth century.

@iceberg

For some reason I put that “a what was then widely considered unsuitable for women.” was incorrect because it just seemed fitting to put ‘‘what was ONCE widely considered’’ since it talks about studying math.

but I’m pretty sure I’m wrong on this one.

anyone else had the austrailia one with the birds where it said “and,” in the sentence but it wasn’t an option, couldn’t figure that one out

am i like the only one here that got a different essay prompt? I got the one about technology’s influence on communication…

holy crap i’m so scared rite now cuz my essay topic was different from all u guys. i had one about how modern forms of communication affected learning or something? anybody have that?

dude i go thtat topic

I got the communications topic too. Meh… I think I focused too much on technology in my paper cause of the stuff in the rectangular box.

what was the error in the sentence about… no sooner had the plane’s wheels hit the ground when blah blah blah… i put the word “when,” but i wasn’t sure

w8 the communications topic was about learning rite? how they learned less or something? cuz now i’m scared i wrote about something off topic.

I put no error for the plane’s wheels one…

How about the last writing question in Section 10? Something about Jorge being given something…

@nritya

how many NE’s did u get?

@poohbear

Oh yeeeah. I believe I put “If he were to gain the promotion.” Something like that.

hmm for the last writing one i got something about collecting plants…

edit: yeah, i left it as “if he were to get the promotion”

and iceberg, i didn’t count them up.

@Zedwhy: Darn. I was thinking of that but didn’t like how it sounded… “If he would…” cause it said would twice. bleh.

And for another writing one, is “should of” incorrect?

yes pooh

and

Any consensus on the “widely considered a subject unsuitable for women” question?

Hmm well I put No error for that one.

What is the exact wording for that sentence? I think I put it as an error. I had 3 no errors.

@poohbear94

Then again I could be wrong mate, it’s just the following statement was in present tense, but most of the answer choices were in past.

I had three

I know two of them were before the last page. And I put the unsuitable for women question as NE.
