I got an 800.... I am a little shocked. I was hoping for a 760 after going through the "answers" thread that was made. What did you guys get, what were you expecting, and what do you think the curve is? I got a 660 in October, for the record.

well done! that’s an amazing improvement! i got 760:)

Thank you. I bought every review book imaginable… I answered all of them, but I swear I had missed like 8 after reading the “answers.” Maybe I lost count at like 6… lol And good job. I would have been contented with a 760.

this means either some of my answers were wrong or the curve was high D;

****…790…my friends are gonna be laughing ._.

Embarrassing…750 considering I’m in AP Calculus. But then again my Barrons book came like 3-4 days before the actual test and all I got through was the diagnostic and one practice test sigh. Is this even considered decent for a first timer?

might retake it, but i’m actually happy since i barely had any time to review. :D

I’m really happy, but I felt pretty confident after the test, and I did prepare a lot. I retook it from a 730 =]

680 :/

Do you think it counts that I studied for it on my own (I’m an international, and have only studied uptil AS Level Math)?

Or shud I just…repeat?

Depressed, 620. To be fair though, I studied for this test on my own, since the highest math I’d had when I took this test was basic trigonometry.

I don’t know that colleges will consider that much. I studied all of the subject tests on my own, but if your high school math curriculum isn’t rigorous I don’t think that will work to your benefit. I would repeat, leo.

I would just encourage you guys that you can raise your score substantially… When I got the 660, I seriously questioned my math ability. But I took initiative and bought all the review books (Sparknotes, Kaplan, Princeton Review, Barron’s, CollegeBoard, and McGraw Hill) and worked the practice problems in each of them… I’m not rich either, but I actually, ironically enough, had a 100 dollar gift card to barnes and noble for a math award I had won…LOL

Some of us don’t have the luxury of having a rigorous math background. All that means is you will have to work twice as hard as those that do.

I got a 700. I’m a bit disappointed because I got 720 on my last official practice test and usually do better on the real thing. Oh well.

I got a 760 on one collegeboard test and a 720 on the other. However, I studied very hard for I believe about two weeks after that.

has anybody ever had there sat subject test scores reported wrong?
i was expecting a 750 at the very very least and somehow i got a 640. i really don’t understand because i did omit 2 but I only missed like 2 max looking at the posts about it. i’m taking calc 3 and planning on a math major and i really don’t understand how this is even possible. there is no way i missed 25 when i was positive i didn’t miss more than 4.
i got a 780 on sat i math so this just doesn’t make sense to me.
i was getting at least a 750 on every barrons practice test
is there anything i can do if i bubbled the questions in wrong?
otherwise could i retake on jan 28th for jan 1st deadline since there is no way i’m putting this on an application!

It is very possible that you misbubbled in the answers. I would say that this is the most likely scenario. You can request a re-grade by hand, I believe, but I’m not familiar with how that works. If it were a matter of misbubbling, there is nothing anyone can do. You can retake it, though, in January. Although the application deadline is January 1st, I believe almost all top schools take scores in January (and even February).

thanks for the info

Would it be bad to retake it for a third time? lol I’m so mad because I got the same score as last time. Though it’s a good score, I really want an 800 considering I’m going to be a math major…

So happy, especially after my Japanese SAT II fiasco :3

Starchy: What did you get the first two times? Generally, three is one time too many.

What do you think about the Math curve this time? I was not sure what to expect, but I felt pretty confident when I finished.
I got a 690 though so I guess I missed quite a few questions.
