December 2011 SAT countdown and discussion

@divy, in my school kids who get ~160s sophomore year only end up in the 1800s, and that’s typically the highest loll…so my 2120 is like OMG status… I only took this test to get an 800 math, people said I couldn’t do it loll, cause I have a 34 ACT

Yeah Im a junior and a 2020 was pretty awesome at my school. I was disappointed haha. Hopefully it breaks 2100 this time.

do you know how much time is left till they come out?
im an international so it’s a bit confusing…

I’m probably going to try to stay up. I’ll do some supplement essays or something. But yeah, at my tiny private school, my first test scoring a 2020 was like the cool thing. I always aspired to just get a 2100. I got that so hopefully I can be satisfied with myself no matter what happens on this extra attempt. Nearly 5 hours away. Gonna go make some food…

@Nihility

I feel ya man. I’m at that range too. 2100 hits the sweet spot. Even though CCers claim that it’s not a IVY league score, I believe it is if you have a solid GPA, good SAT IIs, and ECs.

I want to stay up to see the scores, i dont want to lose that much sleep, but i feel like ill be so worked up trying to go to bed that i wont be able to. Ive honestly never been so anxious for something ever

Hoping for at least a 620 in math, a 630 in reading and a 650 in writing…
The time just can’t come any sooner!

Yeah well I first got a 2010, so close to yours, and then after the second one brought it up to 2090 which means it can’t be too improbable IK 10 away from 2100 it really burns!!! Do any of you know where to find the subject test thread

2100 is indeed an aesthetically appealing score. It’s one of those things though; once you meet your personal milestone, you just keep greedily wanting more.

^lol I agree with the greed part. I got a 2130 without any studying last year, was happy but decided I wanted more… got a 2220 in October, 2260 superscore, was happy for a bit, decided I wanted more… Expecting close to 2300 with 2340+ superscore… I know I’m gonna want more but I won’t be able to retake! LOL

Are serious seahawks? You can apply ANYWHERE with those scores.

I am praying and hoping for AT LEAST a 750 on my world history and literature subject tests… Best of luck to EVERYONE! <3

my guidance counselor flipped out when she found out I was retaking the SAT with a 2120 and a 34 ACT…I told her CC made me feel like crap and I needed a 2200 or I’ll be a failure at life.

^^^ why not just use the 34? doesn’t that translate into a 2200? Btw, great job on your ACT! :)

stonesn, I can apply everywhere with a 2260 and be in the top-50% of admitted applicants, but at the same time I’m at a severe disadvantage being outside the top-10% class rank, and I feel having an insane SAT score would at least make up for it somehow.

Please please please just let me get around my super score as a single sitting normal score so I can apply to Cornell with it please please please. Do scores come out at midnight or in the morning?

Hoping for 800 M / 780 R (both like last time) and then… 750 W?
Is this too much to ask? 20 points up on the writing?

it says “available soon”

It’s December 22 already, when will the score pop out?

It says ‘available soon’ for me as well.
I just hope soon is actually soon and not 8 hours later soon.

Oh Lordy lord, I’m praying for:

740 Math
670 Reading
750 Writing
