DECEMBER 2011 SAT Pre/Post Test Discussion

biofuels anyone??

9 for number 9 (grid in), 20 for area, 1440, zy/x, 34, 8 is radius, 5 is r, the side is 2<x<8, the first absolute value one (A), only I is true, 5 for key pad

i thought it was writing…i had 3 writing sections

Yea the cr with 5 vocab questions was hard but the rest… I still cant comPrehend. Ifinished the 35 question writing in 10 minutes or so lol

this one really stumped me… it was crit reading, the passage about Barbara Jordan. Did her speech resemble an inventor failing a couple of times and then getting a patent, or a country gaining independence and giving a speech to the UN? I put the latter.

did you notice any diction errors in the writing sections?

What was the answer to the one sentence completion with plasticity, machination, semblance, duality, and another one

I thought about plasticity, but it was a little weird, so I ended up guessing machination

And did anybody else think that the story memory passage was a bit difficult?

anyone for reading?

sour apple, wat was the area problem?

i also got every other answer as u did haha

yeha put the UN one too,. because it gives a sense of achievment,

@Battlebrick
That question confused me too… I guessed A, which was the renowned boss who was retiring, because she was a distinguished figure by then and was just reciting her past experiences like the boss was doing?

which problem had the answer 1440?

@Battlebrick, I also put the latter. It makes sense since they’re both about a person who achieved freedom giving a speech

i put machination too, but i think the answer is semblance…

i think it was a grid in…

so i had 4 critical reading parts, whihc one do you guys have? which one is the extra one?

I had 2 35 question long writing sections. Doesn’t that mean writing was experimental?

Edit: I could juxtaposition for the Sculpture one.

Wasn’t area FRQ 40 (5x10-[1/2x4x5])?

What was the question about John Osborn? What about the one with the Wildlife park?

What did you all have for two questions about the black politician (An analogous event… and Her speech signified…)?

@ defianced

the a+b = 5, a=b+1
what is

10^a * (1.2)^b

did anyone get observing for the vocab?

^ area was definitely 40
