***December 2013 - Chemistry***

So what did you guys think of December 7th's Chemistry SATII test? Lets discuss!

First SAT 2. Took regular chemistry last year but reviewed for a month or so. I circled 19 that I either left blank or made an educated guess on. On top of that, I got another 3 or so wrong. Think I probably left like 15 blank mostly for mistiming. What would you say my scorr will be in the range of? Really nervous.

I think you are still in the 700 range but not sure exactly about your score.
I am currently in AP Chem and I took the test for the first time today, hoping for a 750+, but not so sure since I was shaky on some questions and left a few blank.

I was frustrated because some questions I knew how to do or would know if I had more time. But others I know I got right, so that’s good. Guess I should just focus on Physics and Math 2 later this year as long as I didn’t do THAT bad. And I’m not sure; I may have circled some that I got right but I know I left a good amount omitted. Hopefully the curve isn’t too bad.

I think it was easy, except a few questions. Left a couple.

Hello,
Can someone suggest good practice books for SAT II Chemistry tests ?? My son took Chemistry honors last year and so, he may need refresher on course and practice tests. Also, does anyone think he should take this test after taking AP Chemistry in his senior year ? Thanks !

guys does anyone know which item is the least useful?
indicator
thermometer
Erlenmeyer flask

^I remember selecting thermometer.

i left just 2 blank???..rest all would be wright…what scaled score do u guys think a raw score of 83 would be???

sorry for the question marks :-p …mistake

isnt thermometer used for acid base thermometric titeration?

Anyone took SAT Chemistry in Kiev(Medical University of UAFM)?

“isnt thermometer used for acid base thermometric titeration?”

Don’t think so. You need a buret to measure the volume, indicator to show equivalence point (neutralization), and an Erlenmeyer flask in which to mix. You shouldn’t need to measure temperature at any point, I don’t think.

I omitted 3 and thought it was okay. Hoping for 700+.

Was there an option for barometer and safety glasses for that? I remembered there was some lab question about measuring the heat of neutralization or is this the same qns as the acid base titration one?
