***December 2013 - Physics***

yes i think I got 375kg, it rings a bell.

for the camera question I used 1/object distance + 1/image d = 1/f

I don’t remember the values…

The space suit question was more of a math based question.

Space suit is 375kg. Simply use Newton’s Second Law. The water and cliff I don’t know. The chaos theory one I knew what it was but had doubts so I probably got it wrong.

EDIT: The longer I stay in this thread, the more I realize how poorly I did xD

I omitted 1 question in physics. According to [SparkNotes: SAT Physics: SAT II Physics Score Conversion Table](<a href=“SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides”>SparkNotes: Today's Most Popular Study Guides)

If I miss 21 questions I will still get a 700?! This can’t be right.

Can anybody confirm if this is the right curve?

Yes, physics curve is really high

I guess with that, you could get around 16 wrong and get a 700. Because each one you get wrong is -0.25 points.

Can anyone confirm the bird and diver question?

For the diver i got the same thing as above. For the tree, i thought it was asking for magnification so i did do/di=ho/hi

What did you guys get for the photon speed and frequency before and after scattering? And the one with the emf in the battery?

Well that was the worst thing ever…

I used magnification equation for the tree.

For dark room i said tungsten, I know iron also glows but the temperature of the tungsten was really high.

for the excited electron I think I used E=hf

@rm22333

[Photon hits electron, what happens to frequency? - Yahoo Answers](<a href=“Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos”>Yahoo | Mail, Weather, Search, Politics, News, Finance, Sports & Videos)

I guess frequency reduced. Crap.

Do any of you remember the answer for the tree question?

I remember in the question there was something with 0.2 but i don’t remember the other numbers. I think i might have gotten something 2000…but I’m not sure at all. What about the last one with the pulley?

Just took it, hope I did better than last time, got a 620 first then on princeton I got a 670 so I’m hoping for around 700. I just wish I took AP physics last year instead of regular physics.

anybody here feel that the first set of questions about waves are hard? I can only answer number one about the wave length, and skipped the rest of them because i don’t even understand the questions…

I’m trying to remember what the third one was. But yeah i skipped the second one (the one with 2T) i completely blanked

T was the period. Twice the wavelength. Believe it was E.

99% sure the one “going to the top of the page” was D.

And where was D located?

It was right before 2T, going towards a = 0.
