December 2014 ACT Discussion Thread

@Cclass98‌ thank you for letting me know  So will it be 12am Wednesday midnight/Thursday morning or Thursday midnight/ Friday morning?
@FloridaBoy954‌ since the next update date is thursday, I guess you’ll have to wait until then. I hope you can have your score posted tmr though. My status is still registered :frowning:

@INFINTIEVER‌ I saw it. :stuck_out_tongue: Had to reread it to see though. I had a headache, cut me some slack. xD Gosh, I’m not THAT bad at math. Lol.

does the score report tell you which questions you got wrong?

@cooldude1098 no

@nangkhieu‌ From what ACT told me it should be 12am Wednesday midnight/Thursday morning. What a great present for Christmas! They should be uploaded at some point tomorrow and your status should change if you are going to get your scores on Thursday.

so the test release form is what can tell you which questions you got wrong?

@cooldude1098‌ Yes. You will get a test booklet, answer keys and scoring guide as well as your answer and the correct answer for each question on the ACT on a separate sheet to allow you to practice without looking at the answer key first!

This was my third time taking the ACT. I’m a senior this year and mainly took it for scholarship purposes. My goal was a 30 and I was very excited to have reached it! :)

I did not prep at all for my first ACT. I looked over some strategies for round 2 (apparently they were of no help to me, though), and did VERY minimal preparation for my third time taking it - Went through a few lessons online on Method test prep the night before the test. For some reason I was able to pace myself really well during the December test and it obviously paid off. I’ve always been a slow test taker so I’m glad that I was finally able to push myself a little more.

Has anyone else gone through something like this?

I really want my essay score. Has anyone seen there’s yet because my colleges take that score very seriously?

Freaking out right now!!! Still no scores!

34! 33E 34M 33R 34S

Anyone know when the writing scores will be released or if I can access them quickly so that I can send it on the common app?

First time taker here, junior and I had no prep before hand.
C: 30
E: 33 (didn’t finish the last 5 questions so idk)
M: 33
R: 25 (didn’t finish this either not surprised)
S: 28 (didn’t finish)

anyone have pacing tips? I know nothing about the ACT so I was upset I got a 30 but is that considered a competitive score for Columbia or GT?

Still no scores…
Is Wednesday the next time for ACT to post scores?

36! 35E, 36M, 36R, 36S.

Given that I got my scores on the 23rd, when should I expect my essay score to be posted?

I don’t know why people love to act panicked on here. Go out and enjoy your day and just let things happen. Scores will post eventually and all will be fine. It seems like it is a show on here to see who can get the most worked up about their scores.

Also, when referencing the midnight hour, using 11:59 Wednesday night or 12:01 Thursday morning causes less confusion than midnight or 12am.

I still haven’t received my scores and I am wondering when they will be posted??

wait how harsh was the reading curve?? What do you guys think the predicted score will be if I got 28~33 questions correct??

UPDATE: I just finished talking again with ACT since there seems to be some confusion. They told me that the scores will be posted early in the morning (CT) and that the status will change when your scores are processed and ready for viewing. Basically, this means the score will be available immediately once they are processed and ready. So, I would not actually expect any status changes without scores accompanying the change at any point today. Rather, I believe that the scores and changes may come in the early morning hours of Thursday. Honestly ACT is being pretty vague about the whole process of posting, but helpful at the same time.

"…and that the status will change when your scores are processed and ready for viewing." @-) but I’ve been tested for ages now ACT, don’t play.

Has anyone in the UK got their results? How long do they usually take?
