***December 2014 - Math Level 2***

I sat there thinking for a while and I put odd due to the fact that the max of the graph occurred at odd intervals.

Does anyone remember the q where they have you two graphs and you had to find the wrong statement?
I think the answer choices were something like this (q49)
A) f(x)>0
B) f(x)> g(x)
C) f(x+a)>f(x)
D) g(x+a)>g(x)
E) f(x+a) -f(x) >g(x+a)- g(x)

@SephardicJewESA‌
I remember that one! I think the first answer choice was f(x) + g(x) > 0 though. And I put down the first answer choice bc it seemed like g(x) was going down to negative infinity as it approached zero, and neg inf plus g(x)'s non-infinity value is negative…iirc

@thatindianguy‌
That’s too bad!!! If it makes you feel any better, the first time I signed up for the sat I thought I signed up for the June one but had actually signed up for the May, so I missed the exam AND had to wait until the next year to take it

@cedartree did you get 2 for the max - min one?

@SephardicJewESA‌ @cedartreee
I said the answer was E. As g(x) approaches 0 the change in the y direction becomes greater and greater, so g(x + a) - g(x) could be much larger than f(x+a) - f(x). And if I remember correctly the first answer choice was f(x) >0.

@theoneandonly1 That must’ve been really harsh on you. But I guess we all make mistakes and must enjoy the consequences.

@ahcuh1‌
Ughhhh darn it I think you’re right :((

@ahcuh1‌ yeah i put down E as well! hope we’re both right! :stuck_out_tongue:
@thatindianguy‌ aww, damn that sucks :(, <cyberhugs></cyberhugs>

@eddstah‌ can’t remember sorry!

Do you guys think I still have a shot in the lower 700’s if I left 10 blank and felt like I missed about 5?
Any stories from people taking the test in the past would def help.

Considering the test was so hard, can I get a score of 800 (or 780+) with raw score 42-43? I’m kinda stressed out right now :frowning:

@sirvsxivss I’m on the same boat :stuck_out_tongue: Hope we can both get 800s :smiley:

Hopefully :)

@NorCalGuy11‌ Yeah, my friend took SAT math 2 before and got 770 skipping at least 7 questions!
@sirvsxivss‌ You should be able to! Usually the raw score cut off for 800 is 44 :)

I hope this curve is lenient.

Who remembers the interquartile question? That one had me thinking for 5+ minutes

I think i got 31%

The question that had graphs and asked which one’s results showed a standard deviation of 0 was the one where all the graphs were leveled out, right?..

Standard Deviation is defined as how far numbers stray away from the mean.
