when will the ssat scores be released?

It usually takes two weeks, so the latest it will come out is Saturday. Based on how long the November scores took, it may come tonight.

I’m guessing within the next 24 hours since it says my daughter’s scores were sent to her current school. When it said that in the past within the day I was able to see them.

The October test results came out after 5 days.
:-S Thank you so much

@Marathon21,@fluffymilk: My son just got the score, 91%. He should take a test again. he is applying Andover, Exerter, Choate, Deerfield, Loomischaffee, Milton, Middlesex and hotchkiss. I think he can’t be selected with this score. :(( :(( :((

A 91% is still a very great score for the schools you listed. The SSAT is only a small part in the decision process, and extracurriculars are much more important. If he still plans to retake the SSAT in January make a note of the application deadlines and that the test might not meet all of them. Good luck to your son!

I agree with prepapplicant. A 91% puts his scores in the range for all of those schools. As long as he has good ECs and good essays, I’d say that he is all set. If he feels that he could dramatically improve his scores in just a month, retake the test, but it isn’t necessary. Best of luck to your son! Schools will look at your son as a person, not just as a test score.

Hey guys, I need some advice. I scored 98% overall but my reading is an 83%. Should I retake?

I’m in the same situation @cshi100. I have two 86s in math and reading but I have a 99 in verbal with an overall of 95. (99 for girls) Do schools look at your scores in depth or does the overall score mean more?

I do not understand how having 86s will get you a 99 overall. My D had a 92, 96, 99 for female with 98 overall. How can you have scores in the 80s and get 99? And from what I have been reading, the more competitive schools look at overall for your grade and gender and also like to see the individual scores in the 80s as a rule.

@fluffymilk Your situation is pretty interesting, I must say. However, I think that most schools will be primarily focused on the overall score, as that’s what I’ve been told with Andover, which is where I’m applying. I would not be too concerned, as 95% is well within most, if not all, schools’ ranges.

@mexusa Oops, I misread the scoring chart. Looks like I got a 95 overall in the grade and a 96 overall in the gender category.

My score went from a 2151 to a 2148… 3 POINTS. GRRR…
