@kentonpalmer I feel you… I was sick last whole week and doing any work related to SAT wasn’t fun…
Hope you’ll feel better soon!

Does anyone have a list of idioms tested on previous SATs?

sooo nervous ~X(
@samc24 thank you so much! I’ll check it out
800 in maths
750 in writing
690 in reading
My scores in the Reading Section are so uneven
23/24
18/24
23/24
Always seem to mess up one passage
CR always messes me up… I tend to get questions about “inferring” or “suggesting” wrong
Been at home all week meanwhile ive missed a test from a teacher who already hates me !!! :)))))))) lol people at my school dont understand the importance of the sat, as most dont know what it is
@kentonpalmer: Lol yeah same with my school…basketball and football are more important for them I guess :P.
I’m so nervous for the SAT…I feel like I haven’t done enough to prepare, even though I took like 12 practice tests since the October test. I also have no clue how to bump up my 10 essay to an 11 or 12. One thing that I’ve noticed is that in my opinion, different SAT tests have different difficulties, even when the curves are taken into account. One time I can get a 2380 on a test, and another test I’ll barely break 2200. My score never varies by more than 200 points though. I also feel like tests in the earlier years (2005-2008) are much harder than tests in recent years.
3 days! @juicymango - I recommend memorizing information about two famous people that practically did everything. This way, no matter prompt they give you, just changing a sentence or two will make both examples viable for the prompt. This got me a 11.
Im really scared about vocab. I some how got no vocab wrong in october but idk if my luck will hold this time too
I’m hoping to get 19/19 on sentence completions this time, last time I only got 16/19
Is it safe to purposely do bad on an experimental section or do you get your score withheld and possibly canceled for doing so?
@krauser126 I only did the first few questions on my experimental, lost interest (and willpower), wrote a poem about the SAT across several pages, and then rested until the next section. My score didn’t get penalized or delayed for doing so.
@juicymango like pokemon said get some good examples and get details over them. thats what i am doing this time around. if you bs the examples they are often not deep enough and offer less analysis.
@ambitionsquared how did you identify the experimental section??
@samc24
People get different experimental sections. One of which is very easily noticed because it doesnt follow any usual sat structure conventions.
@samc24
I took SAT once and had an experimental section on reading and I can tell you how you can identify a reading experimental section when you take the test.
On a reading experimental section, there’s usually graphs involved (something you’d never see on a conventional reading section)
Everyone gets different experimental section, though.
@Wreckdecembersat How could one identify the math experimental
Sometimes experimental is extremely obvious while other times it is impossible to tell. October I could tell experimental immediately but November I couldn’t tell the difference. The math experimental is usually harder level math questions that you normally don’t see.
