***December 2015 SAT (US Only) Thread***

@SATlol Ik, but those people do so at their own risk. I’ve done it before and the FBI came to my house and took me away, warning me to never discuss the SAT on CC EVER again. .__. They also took away my computer and all electronics to prevent me from ever discussing SAT.

I can confirm @krauser126 's story.

@satlmaobye Yea Iknow ;/ just be careful what you say about the SAT online because Uncle Sam’s watching.

A professional chocolate buyer recently said that his job is much easier than (how it was for his predecessors) because he can search the Internet for new chocolate products.
Answer : that of his predecessors

Shouldn’t it be those because of noun agreement? Please explain

@facsimilecoterie

“that of his predecessors” is correct because it correctly compares “job” to “that”. They are both singular, and the comparison is correct. The error in the sentence is not noun agreement. It is faulty comparison.

@bobthebuilder13 but still, wouldn’t the job of his predecessors be the answer?

I honestly don’t understand why people would want to review/discuss test questions after a test has been administered. Its not like you can change your answers. It only haunts you more if you realized you got certain questions wrong. Just sayin’

I kinda want to know a general idea of wheter I did well or badly since this is my third time and if I see many of my answers varying from the general consensus, I might cancel my score and try again in January

@facsimilecoterie

Yes, that would be correct as well. The word “that” just replaces the word “job” in the correct answer choice.

For what its worth, this story never happened. its completely ridiculous despite what @IneffableMind has to say. Somebody’s been watching the movie Hackers way too much.

@CHD2013 Thanks Sherlock Holmes for identifying that “fallacy”…We’re all glad you’re here to help us differentiate between sarcasm and truth. -__-

@bobthebuilder13 thanks!

I doubt I’m the only one who missed the sarcasm. You might want to do a little more work on your standup before getting in front of an audience.

Btw, is your “story” about being on the waiting list actually true or is that sarcasm too? What about your approach to the experimental sections? I don’t want to belabor the obvious, but a bunch of your comments seem a little fishy.

@CHD2013 How does my story about being on the wait list or approaching the experimental sections sound “a little fishy”? And an even better question, how does one not notice the blatant sarcasm in that comment? “The FBI came to my house and took me away…They also took my computer and all my electronics away”. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out there’s some bs in that statement…Maybe you should go outside and work on your social skills and hopefully you’ll have better luck at detecting sarcasm.

guys how was the exam? it was relatively easy thank god!! (International student)

A bit early @SATlol

@SATlol what do you usually get on the SATs?

@SATlol What’d you think of the essay and critical reading?

OM*G I did section 4 of test #10 from the blue book and missed 9 on that section alone. This is foreboding…
I generally miss 2 questions on each section but I don’t know what happened! I’m so bad at reading passages about physics and just science in general

@Wreckdecembersat Just remember that only one option is justified by the passage and for any other option that you can’t find evidence for, even if just a portion of the option choice is unsubstantiated, you need to immediately get rid of that answer.
