***December 2016 ACT Discussion Thread***

@planner03 I logged in and checked it said December 27 too but honestly who knows. First time I took the ACT(sept.10) I just used the data it said on that one website I linked. I actually recieved the MC results first on sept. 20 then writing results on some later date. I’d be ecstatic if I improved 3-6 points from a 30C.

Agree with others who said that the math was super hard. This was my second time taking the ACT and I hardly studied at all but with a semester of precalc under my belt I was hopping I’d improve a little. Based on yesterday I think it’s very possible I did worse than my previous 21 for the math section (I know lol). I had to guess on well over 10 questions. I felt like the science was easy, reading was normal, and English was easy (although English is my best subject).

@DryMango Old scale 1900. New 1310 then a 1350. didnt study except for the 1350 which I was disappointed in

While I found the borderline calculus problems pretty easy, a few arithmetic problems tripped me up… Hope I can get 30+ for M this time :S

@ScN2018 ACT twitter says Dec. 20

Does anyone else think the Reading section was considerably more difficult than usual?

I thought it was a bit difficult probably because some of the reading felt so unusually long

I feel difficult because lots of information are stacked in one paragraph. And the detail questions are kinda hard to locate. (To a person who has done way past 20 practice tests, I rank this one to be one of the hardest among the prac tests I have done)

Just to verify, ACT tweeted out today that scores will begin to be to be released on Dec. 20, as opposed to the 27th, as said on the account portal! Best of luck to all!

I thought the reading was pretty fair for me. I managed to finish everything and I was kinda iffy on one question, but other than that I felt confident. Math was the hardest, in my opinion. I felt confident on English, reading, and science. Typically I wouldn’t have finished science or reading, but this time around I did. Im most concerned about science and reading since last test, I got a 35 on math and 34 on English, but a 27&28 for science and reading respectively. Hopefully my superscore turns out to be good… best of luck to everyone (im nervous, but hoping for the best!)

When should we start seeing people change from registered to tested?

Probably Friday or Monday

Anyone want to guess the curve?

The reddit thread is way more active and has solid curve predictions. It is sad that College Confidential started monitoring these SAT/ACT threads so stringently. They used to be way more active. @ZBlue17

2 days…

A girl’s phone went off in my room during the test. Do you think that my scores will be delayed because of that or not?

trying to delete, lol.

I prepared a whole lot for this w/the app, I thought it helped a lot, especially with the English questions. I felt English and Writing sections were good, and although I prepared a whole lot, Math and Science are still my worst. The last two pages on Math I guessed on, and the last set of questions for Science as well.

I feel like I killed that essay, though (I usually do well on essays in any standardized test, though - hopefully grading is similar to the SAT).

Somehow I tied “fake news” into the essay

Comment if any of you change to “tested” for status.

Mine switched to tested
