December 5 SAT Test

Not ambiguous, just seeking to make to make clear that the stricture on taking in paper from home which IS scratch paper, was not violated by these test takers.

Further, in the absence of an express statement by the proctor to put away the admissions tickets, allowed and allowable items in the testing room, the students used an item available to them - something easily avoidable where the proctor has given instruction to place the admissions tickets under the chairs.

For Z, the response the proctor gave to the parents suggests that the proctor was not doing no more than noting something which could be called a yellow flag, as opposed to a red flag, which the other test taker spoke of, where said student was dismissed from the room. The College Board will choose which way to go based on that information.

The most contentious way to try and salvage Z’s scores would be to call into question, or impeach the protocol followed by the proctor. The College Board is not likely to suffer such an examination of its frontline people, and could easily just refuse to engage. But, hopefully, it won’t come to that.

The ticket was brought from home. When the test-taker began taking notes on it, it became scratch paper. Thus, it’s “scratch paper” that was brought from home.

I’m quite sure that no efforts will convince the College Board in this matter.

It’s not a bomb until you mix the liquids from the different bottles. Before that, it’s all just shampoo, conditioner, etc.

Why’d the OP bring shampoo to the test center?

Have you seen all those multi-syllabic words in the ingredients list? Knowing the etymology and proper combinants can be essential.

Is that a Dutch painting in your image, @Marvin100?

I will just wait for the scores release day or for a response to my Email from the College Board. If my scores will be normally released without any changes, it will be the right thing since I honestly didn’t intend to cheat in any way. And I have nothing more to do, In this discussion I’ve mentioned all what I think of as a proof that I am innocent.

One final thought.

The idea that the College Board first “opened the door” to the introduction of the admissions ticket into the testing room should not be used against a student. That someone enters with the ticket is the only way that someone is allowed entry.

If I remember correctly, the left side of the essay is the rules and the right page filled with explaining the essay and giving you the prompt. If you turn the page, you’re on section 2 which is breaking the rules. I can kind of see why you would brainstorm on an admission ticket since there’s little room on the booklet. I believe that you weren’t trying to cheat on the test and hopefully CB will too.

@IneffableMind

The left side of the essay page is an almost blank page with “Notes” in huge letters. The page was specifically reserved for notes, outlines, etc…

@Waiting2exhale

I am pretty sure the proctor said to put away your admission ticket after filling out the personal information stuff. You should not have your admission ticket out when the test starts.

They may delay your scores to investigate, but I doubt they will do anything else.

My score has been released on time.
