hmm only 1 person got -3/4 that actually didn't guess lol (i guessed but i knew it was neg)

my friend who is AMAZING at math calculated -1/2.

hmm only 1 person got -3/4 that actually didn't guess lol (i guessed but i knew it was neg)

my friend who is AMAZING at math calculated -1/2.

You forgot to distribute the (-) sign spaz...

x^2-2xy+y^2 - (x^2+y^2)

Distribute the negative u get

x^2-2xy+y^2 -x^2-y^2

Cancel the xs and ys and u are left with -2xy.

yeah its -2xy and 128.

Hey what did you get for the one that said sales tax prices were included in parenthesis and didnt even give a sales tax value. I got $6.10 but put the next highest (E) as my answer b/c of sales tax. idk very wierd Q.

I put -1/2 because if u find the slope of the A and B point u get -1/2 and shouldn't it be like parallel to get the same area..?

Sales tax is indeed (E)

i thought it was (x^2-y^2) instead of +

Now I am doubting -3/4. Maybe it was -1/2. Was it -4/8?

@ bicyclekick
I missed 4 in math the last time I took the ACT and I got a 34 so surely -3 wouldn't be lower than a 33...

Could it have been positive?

Do you remember what letter the answer for "21" and the quarters was?

Crap! gcf101 got -3/4...aren't u like a super smart math dude who takes college courses? Man there goes my 36 in M...:(

(D) 21

D for quarters.

it went like 3, 9, 16, 21, E

^I am not sure about -3/4!! I can't remember. :o

Oh, maybe I still have a chance lol.

3,9,16,21,26 in order were the choices for quarter.

Did anyone get ''$5.75 '' or ''5.50'' as an answer?

for the parking meter one^

@Quicksandslowly
thanks for the compliment (I am blushing lol), but the college is in the past for me (fortunately or not).

Haha, no problem. I just assumed so since you knew a bunch on the SAT forum.

I think the parking meter one was 6.10 because even if the hour wasn't used up it still costs 0.75.

"D for quarters."

0.0!!! Thank you. So happy, I guessed D without even looking back at the question :O

Lol, according to the quick statistical check I did on the ACT offical guide tests, D is the best choice to guess on lol.

It gave 3 equ triangles around a right triangle.

It asked to list the angles in increasing order. XYZ was the largest. How about the other two?
