I am taking the ACT in December but I am worrying that my score will not come in time before deadlines for certain colleges. I did not do well on the SAT but I am very prepared to get a 30+ on the ACT.

On actstudent dot org, it says
December 10, 2011 (Multiple Choice Scores first posted online) -> December 27, 2011 February 3, 2012

What sucks even more is that I'm taking the Writing Section which, on the website, says that the Writing Section scores come 2 weeks after the MC comes.

HELP ME PLEASE!
1. How do I put the score on my application?
2. Please tell me what I have to do to get my scores to colleges before deadlines
3. ANY ADVICE PLEASE!!

Did you check the websites for your colleges? Many of them have a timeline that will tell you what the last date it. I know some colleges even take the January ones - you just mention that you haven’t gotten the score yet, and add the colleges to the list to be sent out on the ACT/SAT websites.

By mention, I mean you put in on your app, but leave the score blank/to be taken - they’ll understand

I am sure there is some variation, but I recall my son got his ACT scores back on-line on the first day ACT said they would be available. Writing score was available within a week of that first date. Schools do specify what is their latest testing date for various application dates, so check the particular schools you are looking at.

Good luck, my son is retesting in December as well.

Colleges usually say the latest test date scores they will accept. Check up on that, and if you can’t find it get in touch with someone from the college and ask
