I am taking the ACT in December but I am worrying that my score will not come in time before deadlines for certain colleges. I did not do well on the SAT but I am very prepared to get a 30+ on the ACT.

On actstudent dot org, it says
December 10, 2011 (Multiple Choice Scores first posted online) -> December 27, 2011 February 3, 2012

What sucks even more is that I'm taking the Writing Section which, on the website, says that the Writing Section scores come 2 weeks after the MC comes.

HELP ME PLEASE!
1. How do I put the score on my application?
2. Please tell me what I have to do to get my scores to colleges before deadlines
3. ANY ADVICE PLEASE!!

All four accept the December ACT even though it may arrive after the application deadline date; however, particularly for Stanford and UMich, you should designate them as a college automatically to receive your score upon its release as part of your application for the test (as one of your free sends). Stanford recommends that because it is the fastest method of delivery. UMich actually has a Feb 1 app deadline but it is also a rolling admissions school and you want your app complete and all necessary things needed in their hands as soon as you can so you are in line for a rolling admissions review because those who get everything in earlier have an advantage over those who apply late in the process when many programs may already be close to full.

The other two actually accept through Jan Sat tests and if you order a send of your ACT score as soon as it is released you will be fine.

Usually ACT has your complete score including writing done within a week or so after releasing scores without writing in late December (many even have their writing score by that date). The time mentioned for sending, up until sometime in February, on ACT’s site is there because at the outside it could take that long if someting goes awry or an investigation of scores needs to be done for a site or test-takers.
