December ACT submission deadline. I really need help

<p>I have ACT scores that are so abysmal, and yet, my aspiration is too irrationally high.
So, DEcember ACt would be my last chance to rectify this.
The problem is, most of colleges set January 1st their deadline.
I will get to see my ACT scores on DEcember 28th and it takes a few more days to see my essay.
I certainly do not wish to directly send the December score to the schools without me seeing it first.
What should I do? When JAnuary 1st is the deadline for the submission of one's application, does that mean that all the standardized test scores must be submitted by the deadline?
If so, If i choose to see my score first before sending it to the schools, will it be too late? </p>

<p>Call the school’s admission office and say if it is fine if the ACT will be sent before the deadline but come after.</p>
