December SAT Math Test Version 1

great, me too

how was the median problem 20? i did it out just now and got 19.5

i wrote out all the numbers and got 20

hehe, me too, i wrote it all out

isnt it 4-33?

i jsut did it again and im gettin 18.5 as the median for 4-33...maybe you remember the numbers wrong?

what section number was the median question in? And what was the question? I don't think I had it

its 4 -36 (its saved into a list in my calculator)

do 1-var stats and find the median. It's definitely 20.

I keep getting 18.5 as the median when I write it out....

I'm not even sure that was an answer choice though.

sighs

This is what I'm doing: I write out 4, 5, 6, 7, ..., 30, 31, 32, 33

And then I cross the numbers out until I get to the median, which I have found to be 18.5.

yea it cant be a decimal, cuz thats 33 numbers, so the median is the 17th number

yea i think i remembered the question wrong...well there goes my 800 in math...

lol did you guys read my post? the numbers are 4 through 36

edit: nvm, lol

Then of course it's 20.

(36 + 4)/2 = 20

..not hard.

I just didn't remember the problem, but now I know I got it right.

I might actually get 720 or better on the math now.

the median CAN be a decimal if there are an odd number of numbers (you average the middle two)

Ok, what math section was the median one in? 2 or 3 for you guys? I'm not sure I had the problem. (did you have the angles one too?)

my section 3 was experimental CR so it was probably in section 2.

you had the angles question right? was the median one an early or later question in the section?

it seems absurdly easy, so probably early, but I'm worried I can't remember it. Oh well, even if I was a retard and solved for the MEAN I would have gotten the same answer. I don't think there's any way to not get the right answer unless 16 was a choice and I somehow did (36 - 4)/2

i believe it was 2nd math section but im not sure....i cant believe i got the angle question right and median wrong /wrists

lolcats4: if its an odd number of numbers, there is no "middle two" - for example, {1,2,3} - the median is 2, it's impossible to have two in the middle

from the angles question, I remember the right angle on the left side being cut into two angles, labeled angles 1 and 2. was angle 1 the "lower" angle? I realize how vague this is, but for those who remember the diagram my question might make sense.

er joshma I meant an even number of numbers, sorry :P

yea im pretty sure angle 2 was the one on top lol
