December SAT scores...

I got 640/760/680 = 2080, so my superscore became 640/800/680= 2120.
I am pretty surprised that i got under 700 for writing.. well, i guess i messed up my
essay. not superexcited about the result of the LAST SAT1 in my life, but glad it's done =)
how's your test scores?
how's the curve?

I received my scores as well, and found that my writing scrore is below what I expected-640. I mean, on all the practice tests I took I got min. 680 (with an essay score of 6 (23)) and now, on the actual test, I get 8(24) points for my essays, and still get such low scores…Multiple choice questions must have been very tricky, or idk.

I got my scores and thankfully its not under 2000 cause I was really scared I’m gonna score something like 1700, but it turned out exactly 2000 haha. My scores were: M 670, CR 670 and W 660. Guess I messed up the essay, AGAIN.

Not bad…!
Do you guys think Ivy league school would accept someone with a score of 2040? And if that someone is not even a minority?

duude, I see so mmany people here worrying about their sat scores for ivies, that is really not the only thing they look at. people with the perfect scores do not have like a confirmed chance of getting in. Ivies try to create a environment with intellectuals, not just people that are good at studying. If you are an intellectual or not will show from your essays. A good score can help a lot, a bad score can hurt, but yours is not that bad.
Ps: I have 730 M 760 Wr and 630 Cr but im international, so they look at toefl insteadof CR

My SAT2 scores are baddd: Math 1 - 670, U.s History - 590. But I am int’l student.
Are those scores good enough to send to colleges like NYU, Rochester,USC, Boston?
Or I shouldn’t bother sending them?

WOW.

I am suprised by how much my scores suck. All of them went down, and I thought I did great, especially since I had the same correct answers as everyone on CC. Fortunately, I already got a satisfactory ACT score, so SAT is a test I no longer care about.

Dec. 2008 - 670 CR/680 M/750 W 12 Essay
Dec. 2009 - 650 CR/670 M/650 W ? Essay :(

I am international as well:D. Lol, there are hardly any Americans hanging around here:D. Olzhas> is you have SAT 1 scores which are better, you shouldnt worry about these subject tests…Yes, they are not too good, but your sat1 scores, recommendations, essays count so much more!
jjavdm>Which colleges look at TOEFL score instead of CR??? I have been researching the application process for ages, and only found that CR can substitute TOEFL (above some given score), but not the other way around. And thats a big difference.

My results: CR/M/W - 540/800/640

I am very suprised to see that I have got 640 at the writing section. Was expecting at least 700. If my essay did not receive at least 10 points, I think I’ll call them.

Somebody wrote that TOEFL can be accepted instead of CR for international students. Is that true?

i am baffled. lol

dec sat:
730 Math, 740 CR, 800 writing

march sat:
740 Math, 750 CR, 800 writing

isn’t that odd? the 800 writing just sticks

For all of you who don’t know, you CAN SEE your essay score before the score report comes out (I have already seen mine from Dec.)-The trick is that you dont look at the “My SAT”-“My Scores” section, but click on a link where it says that your scores are available. (E.g. click on “read more” on collegeboard homepage after you have logged in!)

visvires> I find my writing scores surprisingly low as well!(640) I am very mad, since this was my last SAT.

I am really inconsistent and haven’t really figured out why but I am pretty happy I got to 2000 super score 770 math, writing just kills me

to ksanyee

MY SAT scores weren’t good as well, only 1920.So, should I send those low subject test scores? Someone?

Olzhas> If you’ve already taken all these exams, you should send them to some schools. But what do you mean by “not sending those scores”? Do you mean that “not applying” or “applying without sending the test scores”-btw, this would not make sense, as they require these tests.

Second :“applying without sending the test scores”.
Yeah, I think that I l’ll have to send them.
I was just curious if they are completely disasterous or not.
thank you

They are NOT:).good luck

reading 680 math 660…writing 790

@ksanyee
They dont actually swap them(its a completely different scoring system). I asked it during my princeton visit. They said that they understand that int. can impossibly score high on cr(because of those crazy word fill in things) so they just look at how good you are in english(toefl and also cr, but doesnt have to be really high) and how you write(your essays etc)

jjavdm> Im pretty happy to hear that, and hope that there wont be too many other international applicants who actually managed to score high on the critical reading section.:)-but im afraid there are quite a few…

@ksanyee
what did you have? I wouldn’t worry too much, just give it your best shot now. My brothers sat scores were 740 M 620 CR and 590 wr, sat 2 were 740 Phy and 690 Math2
He got into cornell and brown. He just showed his thinking and intellect through his essyas and had a good high school transcript. A low cr as an international will not destroy you.
