where do you see what your essay got?

@jjavdm
Your brothers story sounds extremely encouraging!
I got: M:780 CR:620 WR:640 SAT2: Math2:780 Math1:800 German:660
I cannot believe that he could really make it! You made my day:))

@kmac2712: Go to “my organizer”.There, do NOT click on “My SAT Scores”, but on “View My Scores”, under the red notification in the top: “Your December SAT Scores are in”.

Question: I took subject tests standby, but neither my registration nor my scores are there. When will they show up?

@kaekae
The same thing has happened to me in June. Dont worry, it’ll be online soon. (Often check the website, as it may be put online anytime. Although the website says to check back on January 8, it will probably be up this week (or next week)-unless they have a Xmas brake:)

If you get high enough for CR, your TOEFL is waived, but not the other way round. Colleges consider your CR score to be much more important than TOEFL - the latter is a pass/fail test with little difficulty.
And yes, there are quite a few internationals with high scores on CR. I personally know five or six people here in HK who got over 750.

hey, im singaporean and i got 760 CR, 740 M and 680 W, which makes 2180. Am severely disappointed by the writing section; i am usually pretty confident in my writing.

Anyway, I’m kind of panicking now because i waited until i got my scores to send the reports to Barnard, George Washington and UPenn. I made the mistake of thinking that SAT scores are sent electronically and instantly. Apparently not, so I had to rush-ship it to make the jan 1st deadline I heard it is a bad thing. Do you think my scores will reach the schools in time?

(Sent my iBT Toefl scores (119/120) on Dec 14, hope it gets there too…)

URGH im so disappointed at my scores…i thought i was going to get at least a 750 on the writing and I got a flippin’ 650 : ( that wasn’t the only bad one though : ’ ( ahhh my christmas vacation is ruined

@nointernecine:
SAT scores do not need to be received be the institutions by Jan.1. (If so, how on earth would they allow applicants to take the January SATs?). And nearly every college states on its website that they do not want the scores to be rushed…So dont worry, there will be no problem at all!

@starrpower: DO YOU GUYS REALIZE that nearly everyone says that his or her writing score is much lower than expected??? Is it only coincidence? (Just look through the posts in this thread)

@ksanyee: Heh, I got a 9 on the Essay and still got a 570 on Writing. I didn’t think I did that badly on the multiple choice for writing. Oh well.

@Sikono: Hm,interesting…I got also a relatively high (8) points for my essay and still a relatively low overall score.

My scores aren’t there.
It doesn’t say to check back later, or anything of that sort.
It’s just not there.
UGH.
I need to turn in my applications!!!

@ksanyee…

I also cannot find my essay score or percentiles…when i go to My Organizer it says “please check back in 7-10 days for december SAT scores” even when i refresh. My actual scores are there though, but not the subwriting scores.

Yes, something’s wrong with the writing section. Too many people do not agree with their score for this section. Maybe we should all call? W T F??

@niiicole It doesn’t say on your individual profile to check back. Instead, on the main student page, it says “If your scores aren’t online, learn why and check again on Friday, January 8.”
The scores will probably be out before you need to turn in your applications, but if not, you can always list the test date without scores and then report them whenever they finally come.

i’m soo happy!! ^_^

my psat score was terrible. i recall it was 184 or something super low…

but my SAT SCORE YAYY!! 2080!!
i’m so glad i broke 2000. if i take it one more time (march) do you guys think i can hit 2150+?

my break down was: CR 610, M 710, W 760, Essay 12

i’m so surprised about my essay haha. totally BSed it AND it was the weird privacy/convenience one

Cathie, if you practice, i’m sure you can break a 2150 in mar. Seeing as your crit. reading is low, I would suggest using the Barrons critical reading workbook. It helped me a lot. I went from a 670(mar 09’) to a 750(dec 09’). This month was my last sat and i scored a 2280.

i got a 77/80 mc writing and a 12 essay. Ended up a with an 800. 100 pt jump from march sat.

@TQSMNTASP: Well, then I dont know…I can look at my subscores (but when I look at the page with all of my scores, I cannot see them either)

@visvires: I wish there were any chance to change our scores, but there isnt. I guess, we just had bad days, or idk… But there is an option to request collegeboard to recheck your answers by hand, but that costs i think 50 bucks, which you wont get back if the result stays the same-I think I will accept my score, and do my best with writing my esssaaaaaaysss:S

I’m a Junior taking the SAT test for the first time and I am not very happy. I already did preparation over the summer, and got a 2100 (770 M, 690 W with 8 Essay, 640 CR). I think i want to take the test again in March. What do you guys suggest so that I can get at least a 2200?

writing - 790
reading - 740
math - 750

Overall, I’m satisfied. I went from a 2070 to a 2280 without studying!
