Did anyone else think the Math II curve was particularly sharp this time?
I originally felt pretty confident but I got a 690.

The curve was either a 43 or a 44 for a 800.

Math 2 - 790
Bio M - 700
Chem - 690 (really disappointed on this one)

@stardust, I was also very confident that I would get 800 in math2.
780 physics, 750 math2 750 chem . dunno if this is good for MIT

How so? It is my worst subject for reasons that are not inherent. Furthermore, It is illogical, in my opinion, to disregard something one may like just because one is not as good at it in comparison with other things that may be less fun or interesting, when one’s goal is to work in something they enjoy. Remember, “worst” doesn’t necessarily mean I am bad in math. I must have some inherent ability for me to be able to get into Calculus and maintain As(albeit low ones) throughout the pre-requisites. Although that may say more about the low rigor of my high school than anything.

Regardless, my difficulties in math have been a product of a poor educational environment in my classes(a heavy simplification of the language necessary to understand what a question is asking on the part of my teacher) as well as my lack of interest until recently. However, I’ve been steadily catching up and self-teaching myself as well as perfecting the abilities I do not lack. So certainly refining one’s knowledge in his or her weakest area is not dumb, but to the contrary a wise decision, especially if one discovers it to be their passion. Regardless, I need math for Physics or any science, and THAT is something I’m good at(as long as the math doesn’t get in the way.)

So yes, it is a case of irony regardless of whether or not it is a poor decision, solely because the subject area I like the most is the subject area I have the most difficulty with. That suitably fits the definition of irony. Whether or not it is a poor decision, is a subjective measurement with no standardized parameters, while its role as irony is objectively suitable to the definition. The two are not mutually exclusive. Also, don’t worry about being harsh, I don’t take offense from criticism, rather I utilize it for motivation. Thank you. :)

Math II- 760
Biology Ecology- 730

I thought I would miss 20+ on the Biology one. I am glad I got 700+. :)
