Hey guys.

My guidance counselor already sent in my transcript with all of my ACT scores about a week ago. As you know, that transcript obviously does not include the scores I just got today. How do I go about reporting those scores to colleges? I am using the common app; can I put those scores on the common app? or do I have to send those scores directly from ACT to colleges without putting them on the common app?

I don’t believe that you use the common app for score reports. You need to order one from ACT for $10. Just specify where you want it to go to and they’ll do the rest. (Do it before the 29th to avoid delay.)

Thanks. Do you know if i can put my score on the common app or not?

You self-report the score on the common app. (Common app -> whatever school -> academics -> scroll down.) I believe that you are required to submit a score report from ACT anyways though.

Not to go hijacking your thread but I have a quick question along the same lines. So on the act registration I filled in two schools that I wanted my scores to go to-does that mean act has already/will send them to those said colleges now and I dont need to do anything else or what?

I think so…yeah…it has to be.

If you filled out whatever university that you wanted the scores to go to while registering, then you don’t need to worry about that. If you did not, then it is a $10 fee per school.

If you indicated that you wanted score to be sent to certain schools when you registered, have they been sent already? or do they do it at a future date?
