How did your son do on his SSAT, neatoburrito?

No problem. Thanks for the information, Im going to brave the snow and hopefully my results wil be awaiting me. I think I didn’t bubble right but that could just be me being pessismistic. I wish I could edit my previous post, reading over it makes me wince.

He did great! No worries. The October test was a “warm up” for him, but he did wonderfully. I had registered him for both the Oct and Dec tests at the same time. He wasn’t particularly happy with his essay in Oct so he took it again in Dec. I don’t expect much of a change in the score. But…he said he liked his essay much better! Because the Oct test was kind of a “dry run” to see how he’d do, he hadn’t prepared before he took it. Then, since his scores were sufficient, he didn’t do anything in between. Looks like I wasted 120.00. He wasn’t 99%tile on the Oct test so there is theoretical room for improvement, but I don’t think it really matters.

congratulations - that’s a good start of the path leading to a great school.

blueraven,

Sorry for my misleading.

I called SSAT this morning when not receiving anything, they told me it would be tomorrow, through out the day, not at a certain time.

Good luck!

No problem Im just going nuts over it otherwise I wouldn’t care… Bad thing is my father is at work tommorow, so I’m not going to be able to know till he gets home. /sigh/ Thanks for the information, it’s more than I’ve been able to find on the web.

I got it!!!

98th overall-even with my stingy math mark.
I am beyond shock; I spent the whole weekend preparing my parents for a high 70s.

Congrats Blue! Check the ssat off your list and start working on those essays!

(It’ll be so weird if any of you girls end up at school with my son next year.)

Congrats BlueRaven! That’s awesome!

I still haven’t received my results through email. Hopefully they’ll come soon!

Thank you so much. I truly was not expecting this at all. My mother tells me she’ll never trust my test assesment again. Good Luck bunnywins! I got mine at 10:03am eastern time; hope you get yours soon. To what schools is your son applying neato? If you don’t mind me asking. I think it’s cool your on this forum, I can’t imagine my parents joining in a million years.

SSAT website says I’ll get my scores tomorrow. I can’t wait!

Congrats BlueRaven1! You’re amazing! sarcasm
I got 130th overall. Surprise?

I don’t think I’m amazing. It just seemed appropriate to follow up on this thread seeing as I was so anxious yesterday. I truly am surprised at how well I did but know that as long as you score 80> the SSAT doesn’t really matter.

I just got my SSAT scores and got a 2184.
I am an 8th grader.
Do I have a chance to get into Andover?
Verbal 722
Math 767
Reading 695

Would you mind giving the percentilles?

The Math score looks great though.

My son got his through email.

Verbal Score 770
(Personal Score Range: 749 - 791, SSAT Percentile 96%)

Math Score 776
(Personal Score Range: 755 - 797, SSAT Percentile 91%)

Reading Score 761
(Personal Score Range: 740 - 782, SSAT Percentile 99%)

Total Score 2307
(Personal Score Range: NA, SSAT Percentile 99%)

He is a 8th grader.

Congratulations! Those are great scores… Those are similiar to mine 'cept my Math score sucked. Well i guess it didn’t suck but it bought my other scores down.

How many questions did he do wrong or leave blank to get a reading score of 761? Reading is usually the easiest for everyone but the trickest score wise.

Two wrong, zero omitted.

Then it varies from test to test. Sometimes 2 wrong/0 omit could drag the percentile to 97% - not that it’d make a difference in admission, but just an observation.
