<p>I would get back in school immediately- but not necessarily attending the university but WORKING there! I would hope after the years you attended school you built some relationships with the faculty. You should offer your services as a research assistant- hopefully earn some money, BUT demonstrate your skills and desire to work in the field. I also did NOT intern BUT I did work as a research assistant. This is an obvious alternative to interning. Even if you need to work for free, it will be a HUGE positive on your resume!</p>
