Decent-ish GPA due to some not-so-great things freshman and sophomore year?

Okay, so my GPA currently (second-semester sophomore) is a 3.4 which I guess is decent as far as I know? But I’m going to the IB Diploma Program next year and I wanted to know how much you think my freshman and sophomore grades will affect my overall GPA/college admission chances. I have taken a PSAT and got 1370 (out of 1600) on that and am now taking prep courses. I assistant direct at my old elementary school and a couple other extracurriculars.
These are the classes I have taken/plan to take (Intensified classes are essentially honors)
Freshman:
Intensified World History- B
Intensified Geometry- C
Int. Biology- B
Int. English- B+
Latin III- A
Chorus- A
PE- A

I had all A’s until my mental health slipped severely due to some home problems and losing a couple loved ones, which was not ideal but there was nothing really I could do about it.

Then this year, I’m doing better- mostly A’s with a couple B’s (I’m taking AP Gov, Algebra II/Trig, Chem Int, English 10 Int, Latin IV) but my mental health slipped again this quarter and I’m looking at some lower grades that should go up considering I have finals in all my classes and another quarter (the 3.4 includes this slipping of grades).

Considering my course load for next year is pretty heavy (I’ll outline it below) and I’m doing full IB how do you think my chances of getting a more respectable GPA/raising it higher are? Will this totally ruin my chances of going to a pretty good university?

Junior:
HL English
HL History of the Americas
HL Biology
HL Latin
SL Math
SL Social Anthropology

Senior:

HL English
HL History of the Americas
HL Biology
HL Latin
SL Math
Theory of Knowledge

Sorry, this is long but thanks! I’m just panicking now because I realized I am slipping again.

A 3.4 is a pretty decent GPA, so you should be fine. I’m in no real position to speak, but I think it may depend on what you consider a “pretty good university”. There are amazing schools out there, one probably perfect for you. And I think if you let them know the reason why your grades may have slipped a little, as it was related to your health, the admissions officers may be considerate. I hope this helps any

It all depends on what level of a college you are trying to get into. I would be very careful taking all of those top level classes. You can not let yourself slip if you go through with this course load. If you think you might, lower the course load so you can get higher grades. But once again what college do you want to go to? This will change your plan a lot.
