If you want a small liberal arts college, then you are lucky to be living in Maryland. SMCM would make an excellent safety or “match” school for someone with your stats. In fact, for the money, you might prefer it over many more selective (and expensive) options.

We visited last April. The waterfront campus is beautiful, the facilities impressive, and it seems to have good programs in the life sciences.

St. Mary’s is a terrific option if a LAC close to home is what you want. More expensive than UMD, but not $50k p.a. Lovely location, nice facilities, and smaller classes.

Recommendations elsewhere depend upon your test scores.

Another interesting LAC in MD is St. John’s College in Annapolis.

There are several schools up the highway in SE PA, and I don’t think you can exit off the freeway in Massachusets without driving by a liberal arts college…

Im only a junior so i have yet to take many SAT/ACT tests. I just wanted to get a head start on the college search so im not scrambling around a month before application time.

Anyways, ive taken the SAT II Subject test in Chemistry and got an 800. Class rank is about 100/420. Public high school thats moderatly well known in my state.

Also, i dont think ill qualify for need based aid. Dad makes about 150000 and weve got 5 people in our family, only one in college (me)

I live like 15 minutes from hood, way too close to home for me.

Muhlenberg looks good, but it seems like itd be more of a safety for me. Would i get a pretty good aid package though, because that could make the decision easier

Ursinus also looks good, but at just over 1600 students it might be a little small. My high school has 1800

Allegheny meets your criteria and would give you merit aid. They are strong in science, especially chemistry and have a very good pre-med program.
