<p>uc's would be the best. you seem like you live in california so why don't you aim for UCLA, UCSD, UCB, and all others?</p>
<p>community colleges have really good joint programs with ucs

there are a lot of colleges that accept transfers as sophomores
i think even some ivys accept sophomore transfers too
it was either princeton or cornell... i dunno
let's see..
johns hopkins accept sophomores... and i'm telling you theres a lot more
you just have to do the search yourself :)

<p>Ya theres a lot of schools that accept students as sophmore transfers, they just take into account your HS record as well as community college.</p>
<p>You can transfer to the UC system in 1 year, but you'll need to finish up the units to be considered a junior transfer.</p>
<p>I've yet to find a school that doesn't accept sophomore transfers, and some will even allow you to apply with only half of your freshman year complete. As has been said, the dilemma is that they will weigh your HS transcripts heavily. If you sucked bad in HS and want to transfer to a great school, you typically must pay the price of 1-2 years.</p>
