I am am entering college as a freshmen this fall and am wondering about some majors. I am thinking about doing mechanical, environmental or civil engineering. I am also considering computer science or architecture. I like the idea of all these majors, but math is subject I struggle in, so I was curious, which of these majors are the hardest and which are the easiest. Also how much math is really involved in each one.

Sorry…they all require a lot of math. What math have you taken in hs?

I’d strongly advise against Architecture. The degree gives you a very narrow set of skills and job prospects for the profession aren’t great from what i hear. All other options give you an array of choices. Architecture gives you one: Architecture.

I think that environmental has the least math of the three and would be a little easier to study. Just like any engineering major, it still has a lot of math and is not an “easy” major.

The highest math I have taken is Trig and I struggled in it but managed to get a B both terms

Ok, you might wanna rethink Eng then. Trig is a fluffy bunny compared to the cerberus like monstrosity that some of the higher math corses are. I’m not even kidding.
