Deciding between subject tests and ACT - opinions appreciated

Hi CC'ers!

I am a senior who just finished her college apps. I am satisfied with my SAT score (2130), so I have already sent the score to all my schools. However, now I am deciding between whether to send my ACT or my subject test scores (both of which I'm not too happy about). A lot of my schools are test optional, so it doesn't worry me too much. (I only sent in my SAT score to those schools.) but for my more competitive schools, (harvard, brown, yale, amherst, wesleyan) I need to send either my subject test scores or ACT.

Subject Test: 690 Bio E, 610 Lit
ACT: 33 Writing, 33 Math, 32 Reading, 26 Science (31 Composite)

I'm leaning towards sending my ACT score because on the SAT, the math section was my weak point. However, there is a huge gap beween my other scores and my science score! It's disheartening to see because science is one of my strongest subjects, I just took the test cold and was short on time/tired, which made it the hardest section for me. Just a note: otherwise, I have strong ECs and grades.

Sorry this is a long post! Thanks for the input. :)

I agree with sending your ACT score if you are able. You need to, however, check the score policy for each of the schools listed because they are specific. I know for Yale you must submit your subject test scores (all collegeboard scores for that matter) because you already submitted your SAT, and you can submit your ACT on top of that if you want.

I would submit the ACT score, that science score isn’t so bad and the rest is very strong, they’ll be able to see your science grades so it won’t matter.
However in some cases you may have to send all your test results.
