Hi everyone, I've gotten into all three of the schools I applied to and am wondering which one I should pick.

UVA/W&M cost about the same and UNC is a couple thousand cheaper, but it's not that big of a deal.

I think that I want to be a political science major with the intent of going on to law school. I do plan on working hard, but I also know that GPA plays a part and that some schools have grade deflation. Which school has the fairest grading policy and is the best academic wise?

I really want a school with a lot of spirit and a town around it, so that there is stuff to do besides drink. Don't get me wrong, I like to go out, but I don't have to be drunk to have fun.

I haven’t heard the best things about the social scene at W&M - it’s a bit harder if you don’t drink to find things to do, and people have mixed feelings about Williamsburg.

as for school pride, etc, I think all schools have that, but UNC more so.

I don’t know much about the grading systems, though, sorry.

UVA! They have a great politics department and aren’t known for grade inflation or deflation. Average GPA is 3.2-3.3. Charlottesville is wonderful too! Second highest number of restaurants per capita in the country (2nd to NYC). Close to Wintergreen and several bike/hiking trails, so there’s definitely stuff to do. Plus, there are HUNDREDS of student-run organizations. I think you’d find that there is no shortage of fun things to do at UVA that don’t involve drinking :)
