I plan on majoring in either biochemistry or biology, which will lead to med school so I need a school that will best prepare me for that. I am applying to the University of Texas in Austin. However, I am also interested in the University of Denver, but I don't know if its worth applying to. If you got into both, would you choose Denver over UT, or do you think I'm good with Austin? (I get automatic acceptance into UT because I live instate, and am in the top 10% of my class)

please help, just tell me if you would choose UT Austin, or University of Denver

Which one do you think has a better science program?

UT Austin, hands down.

They are both very good schools. UT Austin has the better overall reputation. Colorado's strength is in the sciences, so its biology program is probably comparable to or slightly better than UT Austin. I would choose based either on lifestyle, or finances. Colorado has the better location. Boulder is a great town with excellent access to the outdoors and a large city, Denver. Music scene is not as good as Austin's.The nearby NOAA facilities have given Colorado particular strength in meteorology, geography, and environmental sciences if that is of interest. Colorado is smaller than UT, but not enough smaller that that is significant. UT is probably cheaper since you are instate.

^ Agreed...but the OP is asking about University of Denver, not CU Boulder.

Where is Roseanne Roseannadanna when we need her?

I vote for U Texas Austin. It is a highly ranked, quality school.
