Deciding on a major, confused between some!

<p>Well, I'd like to study a major related which includes: writing & reading a lot, multicultural stuff, global development, travel, languages (I speak English, Spanish and now I'm learning French), investigation, some debate or service...
I was born in Chicago, but I lived in Spain most part of my life and I'm living in Mexico right now, so I'm an international person, :) . I'll take the TOEFL and I hope to study College in the US in two years.</p>

<p>Researching on the Internet, I found a lot of majors which caught my attention like: ESOL; History, Writing, International Communications, International Development or Humanities, etc. but many of them seemed the same to me. Definitely I'm kind of lost and I'd really aprecciate some advice to decide What would you choose in my place? How did you know what was the best? Do you think any of these is really well paid or they worth? Thanks,</p>

<p>When you look at different majors, take a look at course requirements for the majors. That will often give you an idea of what the major would actually be like. Schools will often also have a course catalog with offered classes and course descriptions. You may find that many majors are very similar at different schools even if they have different names.</p>
