Hey all, I’m a prospective Civil Engineering - preference student at Michigan State starting this August. I’m having some trouble deciding on what I want to major in in order to fit more closely with my intended goal. I want to essentially do work with providing irrigation and clean water systems in developing countries, but I’m not sure if I have the right major or concentration for what I want to do. What should I look into if I want that to be my ideal goal to work in? Thank you!
I think Civil is a good direction for you. I suggest joining your school’s Engineers Without Boarders organization to get experience in the area you want.
