deciding on senior classes

first post (^.^)

Hi. Im in a bit of indecision about deciding about my senior classes. Because my high school credits didn't transfer from middle school, I have not been able to take and AP classes until senior year. I plan to be a science major (chem preferably), so I want to take AP Chem. Unfortunately, this would leave me without any physics credits. AP sciences at my school take up 2 periods (7 in a day) and the rest of my schedule is required for graduation (except calculus). Should I take chem, or take AP physics (B) next year? Thanks :)

Are you required to graduate with physics credits? If not, take AP Chem. If you are vying to be a Chem major, showing your interest through challenging classes would be a plus.

I would try to take either a physics or chemistry class this summer and then take the other in school. Your call, I think chemistry might look better for you specifically, but generally AP Physics courses are regarded as tougher.

AP Physics C is generally considered tougher (using calculus); AP Physics B tends to be regarded more of as a harder high school physics course (unlikely to give any useful credit for a science major).

If you like chemistry, consider chemical engineering; the job and career prospects are much better for some reason.
