Deciding Reach Schools

I'm a senior in high school and I'm looking for suggestions on what reach schools I should apply to based on my credentials.

I'm interested in Economics, Psychology, and Engineering.

All suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Before coming up with reach schools, you will need to determine the amount towards the total cost of attendance that you and your family can afford to pay. Some (if not most) reach schools will not be possible if there is a significant difference between your expected family contribution (EFC) and what you can actually afford to pay.

Have you calculated your EFC and talked with your parents about how much they can actually contribute?

I’m uncertain of an exact amount that my parents can afford, but I think it is enough that I probably won’t receive a lot of financial aid

any suggestions?

UCSB, UCSD, UC Irvine, U of Miami and SMU.

thank you!

Cost of Attendance for UCSD is $52,000 per year OOS. If you are OOS, you will receive little or no aid. Can you pay the $52,000 per year?

^ And something close to that for the other UCs. I’m not sure how they (and SMU) ended up on the east coast either.
